How did anyone ever vote for Bush?
I remember seeing this interview, but was reminded again just what kind of moron we have in the White House right now by an article on CNN about Pakistan this morning. Here's the question and the quote: But ignorance of Pakistan's travails may not necessarily prove damaging to a candidate's political aspirations. In 1999, shortly after Musharraf seized power in a bloodless coup, a Boston television reporter asked a U.S. presidential candidate if he could name the general in charge.

"A new Pakistani general has just been elected," the candidate responded, then corrected himself. "He's not elected. This guy took over office. He appears he's going to bring stability to the country, and I think that's good news for the subcontinent."

"And you can name him?" the reporter asked.

"General. I can name the general," the candidate said.

"And it's?" the reporter pressed.

"General," said Texas Gov. George W. Bush

4. Go Huckabee....
....the Democrats should be ecstatic with the rise of Huckabee. Afterall, a side-by-side comparison between the Huckster and the Stupidster should convince voters that they should choose wisely in 2008 (and not because they want to have a beer with an idiot). Of course Huckabee's meteoric rise will be followed by a metoric fall shortly, but we can dream.

8. How many Americans could have answered that as well?
People voted for Bush because they liked him. Gore was intimidating and cold. Gore gets a last laugh, though Gore probably still hurts about not being president.

But people voted for Bush because they liked him. Simple as that. Sometimes it's as simple a matter as clicking with someone, then finding reasons later to support why you clicked with them.

Kind of like what goes on around here with the Democratic candidates.

9. They like the IDEA of him. Ask the typical dumbass Repuke fuck-knob
where Idiot George went to college.

They don't know.

So when you tell them that he went to Yale, and then Harvard, they get a little uncomfortable.

Then ask where he was born.

"Why, TEXAS of course!"

Nope, Connecticut.

They get a little uneasier.

Then you ask them how long the Crawford Ranch (sic) has been in the family. And how many tours he did in Vietnam. And how many successful businesses he ran in private life.

etc. etc.

They don't know SHIT about Little Lord Pissypants, but they SURE know what color dress Monica Lewinsky had.

Sound familiar?

No, it's not that simple. The majority of the people didn't like that idiot. But yes, the people that actually voted for Bush did like him, the majority of the people did not. And now only a small percentage still like the puppet.

11. I don't think as many were voting FOR Bush as they were voting AGAINST Gore (i.e., Clinton)
so many were blinded by the nonsense of the political sparring at the end of the 90s (impeachment for blowjob and all), that they took it out by voting "anyone but a Clinton."

Of course, that was only half the country. They stole the rest.

Worst candidate ever, worst president ever -- history will wonder how this could have happened, too.

so it didn't matter if voters supported Gore or Bush or voted for Nader as an alternative. (Sarcasm)
