If Bloomberg spends $1 billion of his own money, he can claim he's beholden to no special interests
That's a powerful message that no other candidate can say and will appeal to many of the Perot types. He's also an economic conserative, social liberal. That's where most of the moderates in the country are. Bloomberg probably takes votes from both parties in the center.

Perot did get 19% of the vote in '92 and this was after he dropped out of the race and picked a joke as VP. He was leading in polls before he dropped out of the race the first time.

a big potential threat.

I think our best hope if Bloomberg gets in would be a 4 way race with a Ron Paul independent run to pull away some Repig votes.

At this moment he is obligated to the Elites. They are bent
out of shape. The Democrats are sounding too much like Democrats.
