With all of the mudslinging I see going on here today...all of the vicious name-calling and false accusations, I just have to sit back and laugh. Everyone acts like what we have to say here to each other is going to make a difference in Iowa or beyond. The electorate is huge and DU is small. So, if a dose of reality happens to walk by you, grab on to it and embrace it with everything you've got. No amount of rhetoric is going to change anything. Unless, of course, you live in Iowa or NH.

Take a deep breath and check yourself. Oh, and try and find the adult that lives inside of you.

2. It's true. Opinions here become amplified in over-the-top flamefests-

but the reality is that we are a small community- outside the mainstream of the U.S. (not that it's a bad thing- I feel very comfortable here- flaming and all- if I don't likes where a thread is going I JUST DON'T READ IT)

We have such an overblown image of ourselves... What we do here is important. But it pales in comparison to the forces outside of our little community.
