Sorry. I didn't know this was so upseting. I logged on, say a thread called "Hillary's 'Southern Strategy': Muslim-Baiting" and was curious whether anyone truly believes the substance of that sort of thing, or whether it's just fun to insinuate. The phrase "southern strategy" has deep and speciffic meaning to those who know what it means. It was the Republican plan to draw all the leftover segregationists into the Republican party during the 1968-1972 period.

So I polled as to whether people really-truly consider Hillary Clinton a racist. For some reason, the question, which carries no implication one way or another, is more inflamatory than the flat statement that she has crafted a "muslim baiting southern strategy"

But the clear concensus is that the question is inappropriate, and that's cool. C'est la vie. Hope everyone had a lovely holiday.

I don't think Joe Biden is a racist. I don't think Barack Obama is a homophobe. I don't think Edwards is a racist or sexist for urging people to look to their instincts to see if Obama or Clinton are electable.

I don't think Will Smith is a nazi, either.

But Hillary the racist seems to be a subtext here lately, so it's a reasonable polling question.
