6. I don't think Chaffee is a Republican anymore --
Olympia Snowe...meh. She never impressed me. But might be good for getting a Dem Senator as a replacement in Maine.

33. I like Snowe. I probably should research her a bit more, but so far I like what I see.
And a Dem senator to replace her would be a bonus. :D

39. Exactly!
With whatever Republicans are put in the Cabinet (assuming they are members of Congress) we can replace them with Democrats.

...and I don't want to see any of them representing us when it comes to international fence-mending either.

Hillary doesn't need to suck up to Republicans ever.

9. That is naive!!!!!!!!
We have soent the last 20 years fighting unwinnable batle in this ocunty because people were unwilling to reach across the aisle.

How in the hell are we going to get something done on education or healthcare or Iraq without reaching across the aisele.

You really thinkk we can get anything doen without suching up to any repblicans at all.... Climb back up on the Turnip truck.

that was funny.

Seriously we do need to "work" with them. But that does not mean putting them in the f'in cabinet.

27. I agree. Fuck reaching out for those fascists. They never reach out for
any Democrat, except to knife them. It is just plain stupid to try and "work" with Republicans, you simply have to eliminate them as a party...

16. What's naive is anyone who believes you're out to get positive feedback for Hillary
when you've expressed as much or more unjustified vitriol towards her as anyone.

35. absol;utely absurd. We do not need repukes in cabinet
level positions to pass a dem agenda- particularly as there will likely be an increased dem majority in Congress. And if there's one thing I'm clear about, it's that I never was on the turnip truck. It's not my preferred mode of transportation.

11. Must be the ones who think the nominee (whoever it is) needs to run to the "middle"
By which they mean "even more to the right than they already are", which is frightening in and of itself.

24. I think that they are voting "yes" because with Clinton in the WH,
why not have republicans on the cabinet. It will be practically a republican administration anyway...

13. Because every administration puts at least one member of the opposing
party in their cabinet--it's supposed to be an act of goodwill and healing, to demonstrate that the new President will listen to the other side. Chimpy did a piss-poor job of this, obviously.

17. Most Democratic presidents have had Republicans in their cabinet

I think it's good to have a wide variety of opinions around the president. A Republican might bring up something noteworthy that a Democrat wouldn't think of. They don't have to put a Neo-con on there just a very Moderate Republican. It prevents group think and allows one to see every angle before they make a decision.

I am very far to the left but if I were president I would want to have Republicans on my cabinet. Just so I know every possibility is being talked about.

You'd think that she has no problem with it. After all, the woman has Rupert Murdoch fundraise for her, right?

Hey, c'mon now. I only have thrown insults BACK, I don't initiate them. Sometimes it just takes me a while to get back to some people ;)

Sorry, though, if you've felt that I've been unfair to you. If I was, I didn't intend to be, and I do appreciate you letting me know :)
