2. He has said he will not run as anything but a Republican, hasn't he?
So this speculation is a waste of bandwidth.

5. In Alaska at least it would hurt the Republicans
since most of our Republicans are of a libertarian mindset.

7. Hello my friend!
Hope all is well with you and yours.

As a liberal, I find R.Paul unlikeable. I am a big government, tax and spend liberal.

I don't fear R.Paul, however. I think he would be the best GOP candidate in a long time if he got the nom. I would like us dems to run against him moreso than any other GOP'er.

Anyway, Peace and low stress to you and yours. :)

:) We're doing just fine this year -- shopping's all done, and we're just kicking back waiting for the whole family to get here.

As for Ron Paul, I don't particularly care for him either. I just expect that if he were on the ticket here, either Republican or as an independent, he would do well in this state. There are just that many ornery old cusses up here who think he's the bee's knees, so to speak. He really appeals to the "mind your own damn business and leave me the hell alone" crowd, of which there are many. That's why we're all up here away from you folks down there anyway, right?

If Ron Paul were the Repuke nominee, and the alleged "Democratic" nominee were a warmonger, it could be a disastrous result, and probably the end of the Democratic party.

If the two major parties both ran warmongers and Paul ran as an independent/Libertarian/whatever, then there's your wildcard. He could potentially be as big as Perot, and Perot could have won 1992, had he not dropped out and then back in.

If he teamed up with someone like Bloomberg (highly unlikely though that is) then the race would really get interesting. Or even if Paul and Bloomberg ran separately, making it a 4 way race.

Bottom line is that the corporatists and the whore media are trying to manufacture this race the way they want it, and it might blow up in their faces.

14. Paul will hurt absolutely No one
Most states, and all the big ones, have 'sore loser' election laws. When you run for office in one of the party primaries you are not allowed to later run for that office as a third party or independent. He won't run and he can't run.
