Should we be concerned about a possible McCain/Lieberman ticket?
McCain is sneaky, folks. That guy has been counted out but he is not dead. Most folks think of him as a moderate but I disagree. If you look at his voting record he is a solid conservative. It makes me nervous because, in a general election, he may just be the GOP's strongest candidate.

Now, the Lieberman endorsement. Is anyone else just a little worried about a possible McCain/Lieberman ticket?

- Would Lieberman help or hurt McCain among the GOP?
- Would McCain even want Lieberman?

I wish we would get a candidate and then SOLIDIFY around that person, REGARDLESS OF WHO IT IS FOLKS. WE HAVE GOT TO WIN IN '08.

1. Don't worry.
A candidate traditionally selects a running mate after he has been nominated by his party.

That ain't happening for McCain.

2. Too much "war" baggage. No hope
Both have tied themselves so tight into Bush's handling of the Iraqi occupation (and no not just by funding votes) to be viable in a GE long term.

3. McCain will not win and McCain wouldn't pick Lieberman.
So what if he did pick him? I don't think it would matter much.

9. I think you meant Lieberman didn't help Gore.

Although, Gore/Lieberman did manage to win the most votes, just to have the election stolen by a corrupt Supreme Court.

8. The Dems do not have to worry--but the GO:P should.
Helps Dems because it weakens McCain.
