Hillary is nothing more than a hypocritical hack politician unworthy of true blue support.
Edited on Mon Dec-17-07 09:00 PM by Perky
OK....the gloves are off. I am reaching for the vomit bag

First was the email flap last week with Clinton aides passing on bullshite about Obama. Stupid? Yes. Lack of discretion? Maybe, Fired anyway... cool. But then there was Billy Shaheen's crap statement about Obama's self-confessed drug use. Planned maybe...repudiated yes... apologized for...yes. But then pushes into two additional new cycles by here team. It certainly showed that Hillary was not doing a good job at controlling here surrogates. I said then that this was a real turn off and I was losing the ability to stomach her nomination.

Then they trot out Kerrey and he starts emphasizing Obama's middle name and mentioning Madrassas. All Right Wing talking points straight out of Fox News and the RNC. That is just vile and extremely low brow. You want to come after Obama on substance that is fine.. You want to knock his healthcare plan....I have no problem with that. But the pattern of using surrogates to do your dirty work on non-substantive issues has been clearly established now.

Hillary is nothing more than a hack hypocritical politician unworthy of support by any card-carrying Democrat. Why? THis is is the woman who in a debate a few weeks ago was bemoaning her opponents use of RW talking points and tactics in attacking her. She has the audacity to use the same tactics now that she is down in the polls.

Her hypocrisy disgusts me because it is divisive, disingenuous, disrespectful. She is not about change....she is about more of the same crap that has been going on since Lee Atwater trotted out Willie Horton 20 years ago. Do we really want this type of nonsense to come spewing out of her for the next 11 months? We are supposed to be the good guys.

:vomit:

2. "bemoaning her opponents use of RW talking points and tactics in attacking her."
And those opponents were merely "attacking" her on the issues! It is legitimate to point out the differences on issues. It is NOT LEGITIMATE to engage in personal attacks that are irrelevant to the election. It is not legitimate to drop controversial suggestions through surrogates.

I believe there is a psychological term known as transference. That must have been what Mrs. Clinton was doing when she acussed Edwards in the debate of following the "right wing play book".

She has no credibility.

10. He did. At National Airport three days ago....
why not read about it. Hillary apologized for SHaheen and Obama accepted the apoligy noting that the surrogate voice needed to be better controlled by the campaigns.

Then we get this crap from Kerrey.

HAD dealt with the issue, i'm sure there would be no more racism. so either Kerrey is not part of an evil sinister plot, or your boy is not very good at dealing with "the enemy"

17. i did not like the drug comments that were made by Shaheen or...
whatever his name was, and if i were barack i woulda called her ass out right there and then and she wouldn'ta gone there again. And i don't believe that she is. i think this whole kerrey victimization is pathetic. and if it *is* true, by design, and worth of party jumping, and obama doesn't call a meeting with the clinton team, then he's pathetic too.

This is hardball politics - they come with a knife, you go with the gun. If you can't do that, you ain't gonna win. And if this minor crap is pissing you off, you'd best find another hobby because it's a long way to November and Karl Rove is still out there.

12. Exactly. She told us all that last fall when she knifed John Kerry,
but not everyone recognized what that was about.

I can't say I'm sorry to see that many other eyes are being opened now.

Still, if somehow she gets the nom, I'll pull the D lever because even she will be better than any of the hacks running on the other side. But that isn't saying very much.

16. I saw Kerry Vomiting that Propaganda Spew on CNN. I'm not an Obama supporter but it was so OTT
it made me sick. CNN's John King filling in for Blitzer did make a point of saying: "You are a supporter of Senator Clinton" but it didn't counteract the vomitous "Talking Poings" Bob Kerry spewed out against Obama. It was Clinton talking points. It makes me wonder if the Clinton/Bob Kerry folks were the ones going after Gore in 2000 about his "earth tones" and "flip flopping" and the rest of the crap that was skewed about Gore. We here all blame Rove...but does anyone think that Karl Rove put a wire in Bob Kerry's ear and told him to spew those insinuations about Obama? No, Bob Kerry didn't need Karl Rove he had the Clinton's OP's Rove Machine (probably Carville) doing the work for him...

Anyway...I'm a Kucinich/Gore supporter but have no tolerance for insinuations like what Kerry did. Kerry's always been a Lieberman DINO... Sorry to see him show his turncoat face now ...involving himself in this election. Our DINO's are our Worst Enemy. More snakelike and lethal than the Repugs.

One toke over the line, sweet Mtnsnake, one toke over the line
Sittin' downtown at the DLC station, one toke over the line
Waitin' for the train to DC, sweet Hillary
Hoping that the train is on time...
Sittin' downtown at the DLC station, one toke over the line

Who do you love, if not Hillary
she's not been changing, she'still DLC...
he felt the joy and he learned about the pain that Poppy the Big Dawg felt
If he should choose to make it part of him
Would surely strike him dead, and now he's

One toke over the line, sweet Mtnsnake, one toke over the line
Sittin' downtown at the DLC station, one toke over the line
Waitin' for the train to DC, sweet Hillary
Hoping that the train is on time...
Sittin' downtown at the DLC station, one toke over the line

he sails away, an Iowa mile
And now he's returning, and showing off his smile
he met all the candidates and loved himself a few, but to his surprise...
someone else got elected...
and it opened up his eyes! and now he's...

One toke over the line, sweet Mtnsnake, one toke over the line
Sittin' downtown at the DLC station, one toke over the line
Waitin' for the train to DC, sweet Hillary
Hoping that the train is on time...

determined to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory. But, in reality, the national polls may not be important in figuring out who the nominee is but they are showing just how out of the mainstream DUers are.

30. where was your vomit bag when Obama was doing it? DU: double standard capital
http://www.theleftcoaster.com/archives/011506.php

<edit>

That said, there are others who ought to resign or be fired as well - although I would guess that Chris Matthews and Joe Trippi* don't agree. For example (emphasis mine, throughout this post):

<Obama's> campaign staffers, too, have become frustrated by the focus of the media’s attention, specifically that the press has not covered Clinton in the way they expected it would. During an interview this summer, Obama’s friend Valerie Jarrett said to me, unbidden, “He is a man who is devoted to his wife. There aren’t going to be any skeletons in his closet in terms of his personal life at all. Period.” And at a campaign event in Iowa, one of Obama’s aides plopped down next to me and spoke even more bluntly. He wanted to know when reporters would begin to look into Bill Clinton’s postpresidential sex life.

<edit>

Unlike the Clinton campaign, which has the bad habit of firing people or making people resign when they do things they should not be doing, another campaign had (has?) a different standard on smears:

Asked about the document <Hillary Clinton, D-Punjab>, Bill Burton, a spokesman for Mr. Obama, said: “We did give reporters a series of comments she made on the record and other things that are publicly available to anyone who has access to the Internet. I don’t see why anyone would take umbrage with that.”

Asked why the Obama campaign had initially insisted that it not be connected to the document, Mr. Burton replied, “I’m going to leave my comment at that.” ..

<edit>

And I didn't see any firings or resignations after this incident either:

In August, Obama’s team scored a significant hit by helping to place a story in several newspapers revealing that Norman Hsu, a major Clinton donor, had skipped town after having pleaded no contest to a charge of grand theft 15 years earlier and still faced an outstanding warrant... (Hsu had also contributed to Obama.)
