Unconventional Pre-Primary Polls
Mike Gravel continues to hold the lead at the Blind Issues Poll at VAJoe.com. This poll is unique in that it does not ask you for your choice in a candidate. Instead it asks you for your position on issues. It then tells you the candidate that matches.

In addition, former Senator Gravel continues to climb in the votenic weekly poll. He is now in forth place among all major party candidates as a whole. Chris Dodd is the only Democrat ahead of Senator Gravel.

This shows that as people become familiar with Gravel's ideas, they take to him. If he had exposure in the media, he could not be stopped in my opinion. Voters would realize our nation is in crisis and Gravel is the only one talking about real political reform.

1. Mike Gravel is a great guy.
I have more respect for him for his work ending the draft and getting the pentagon papers in to congressional record than for any other candidate in a while. The sad truth is while he's right on a lot, he's just not an effective politician, or at least not effective at running a campaign. As well, his "fair tax" arguments make me leery of him. we don't need a regressive tax right now. But basically, I respect him greatly, and agree with him on a lot, I just dont think he'd make a very good president.
