Picture of the Day!

I'm glad Sean Penn endorsed Kucinich,

I'm glad Oprah endorsed Obama,

I'm glad Harry Belefonte, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, John Mellencamp, Kevin Bacon, and Tim Robbins endorsed Edwards,

I'm glad Barbra Streisand endorsed Hillary, and

I'm even glad Chuck Norris endorsed Huckabee.

Actors and musicians enjoy the same freedom of political speech as carpenters, lawyers, teachers, and doctors and I welcome their participation even when I don't agree with them.

2. I'm still fence-sitting; but Sean Penn is a good man. And so is Kucinich.

5. You will think I'm being sarcastic, but I'm not: Huckabee's rise in Iowa came right after he began
airing a not-very-serious TV spot with Chuck Norris endorsing him.

I think that is a real part of why Huckabee is exploding in Iowa.

I suspect it was when Huckabee made the statement about not punishing the children of illegal immigrants. The Repuglies have had so many candidates spouting hatered all these years that when they suddenly find one with a chunk of heart, they are absolutely thrilled.

10. Actually, Huckabee had already begun his rise in the polls when he made those non-douchebaggy
statements about immigration.

Huckabee is just about the only half-way-sane Republican candidate on immigration (although McCain was OK before he started backpedaling under pressure from bigots).

Unfortunately, Huckabee is bat-shit crazy on ten different issues for each issue where he's half-way sane.

6. But the greatest of these is Maya Angelou, endorsing Hillary.

13. That was a nice score, but it is sad that we live in a society where Chuck Norris' endorsement means
more than Maya Angelou's to the MSM.
