1. By their standards, yes.
Edwards finished in the top tier though.

12. I like not having a litmus test for what constitutes "real dems"
I like believing in a party that isn't elitest. I like to believe that the guy working a blue collar job in Detroit is as legitimate a democrat as the woman teaching at Berkeley or the ex-lawyer goat cheese maker down the road from me. I like believing in a big tent.

2. Didn't click the link, but
I don't know how any of them win or lose in forums like these so-called debates. It's not about making the most persuasive case for a particular point of view, in contrast with some other point(s) of view. They're pretty much all on the same page and it's just an exchange of campaign speech snippets and "zingers."

6. That was my question as well. Obviously, some Obama supporters don't
consider themselves or Obama Progressive.

Yeah, this OP coming from a DLC cheerleader who slams progressives and lefties in other threads is now googling articles designed to divide Obama
and Edwards supporters is damn funny.

he came out unscathed.

14. Next time I see Matt (which is about once a month), I'll tell him my opinion
Edited on Sat Dec-15-07 07:25 PM by zulchzulu
Matthew Rothschild is a HUGE Kucinich fan (I am too on some levels), but doesn't know much about Edwards and his China MFN vote when talking about how bad China policy is... blah, blah, blah...

I guess some people expect Obama to be doing some outrageously dramatic speech that we all cry the second we hear it ALL THE TIME. If you look at the debate honestly, all the candidates were pretty on message and a little too nice to each other. Matt's misread on Obama zinging Hillary was the only highlight.

I see Matt and John Nichols on occasion at a local cafe near the Capitol in downtown Madison. There's always something bizarre to talk about in these Bush years.

I'll be interested in what he says in reaction to your words. By the way, are you still going down to Iowa?
