13. What are her strengths? What issues is she strong on?

Being a "good manager" alone doesn't seem to be working for Richardson. Does Sebelius light up an audience? Does she have any break through proposals that sets her apart from a dozen other possibles, or is this just a case of finding a strong red state governor? What other votes can she pull across the line?

19. I think the fact that she's a strong red state governor could itself be considered a strength.

Whether or not Sebelius lights up an audience I cannot say, as I have not personally seen her speak. But the fact is that she is a female Democratic Governor of a very red, conservative state, and her popularity and approval ratings have grown since she was first elected to office. I would say that she has something going for her, outside of her stands on any issues, that gives her a broad appeal. And I think that broad appeal could certainly be an asset as a VP of a Democratic ticket.

On this issues, she has progressive stances on issues such as gun control, reproductive rights, marriage equality, education, healthcare, and capital punishment.

I'm not saying that she would be the best choice we have (Richardson, who you mentioned in your reply, would also be very good). But I do think that she would be a strong choice for a running mate for the person that secures the Dem nomination.

10. Speaking in more of a generality...

With three viable minority candidates possibly making history in this primary, one of them has to be on the Ticket - no matter who wins the nomination. This can't be ignored without it being an obvious snub to minorities everywhere.

If Biden or Edwards win, I'd like to see Obama, Richardson, or Hillary in that order.

If one of those three win, then:

Obama will need to pick someone with experience (Biden, Dodd or Richardson),

Hillary would have to pick an alpha-male type with an "outsider"/populist persona (Clark, Edwards, or some Governor)

Richardson can pick whomever he wants and will do just fine.

23. John Edwards supporters don't believe in the power of

how much a Veep counts on the ticket.

I've heard many times...."nobody votes for the Veep"...in explaining why although Edwards didn't help Kerry in 2004 as Veep on that ticket, he would still be strong at top of the ticket.

Also Bill Bradley.

I expect Gen. Clark and Senator Bayh to be on a lot of shortlists.

I expect Gov. Richardson, if he is not our nominee for president, would be an extremely convincing selection.

Gov. Sebelius is terrific.

And several others.

I think an Edwards-Richardson or a Biden-Richardson ticket would overwhelm the Republicans.
