6. Did the DLC take control in the last few weeks?
they had one Senator there each day to gavel open a pro-forma session during Thanksgiving, so as to prevent recess appointments.

The DLC hysteria here is out of control. It's like Skull & Bones in 2004.

5. It's abused
it was meant for cases when the congress was gone for months at a time, to fill vacancies that had to be filled. It wasn't meant for use during a long weekend or a holiday break.

I hope they'll do what they did over Thanksgiving, and have one Senator gavel open a pro-forma session each day.
