CNN Poll: Obama catches Clinton in New Hampshire
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Barack Obama has chipped away at Hillary Clinton's lead in New Hampshire locking the Democrats in a statistical tie a month before the first presidential primary, according to a CNN/WMUR Poll released Wednesday.

Clinton has dropped 5 percentage points since a previous CNN/WMUR survey in November, while Obama has gained 8 percentage points, according to the poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center. Clinton is now at 31 percent to Obama's 30 percent. New Hampshire's primary is set for January 8.

Clinton's 5-percentage point drop appears to have been largely due to the loss of support among women.

"Clinton's support among Democratic women in New Hampshire has dropped from 43 percent to 33 percent," Holland said. "By contrast, her support among men dropped only 1 point to 27 percent in that same time period."

1. Talkingpointsmemo: The bottom line for the Hillary campaign...
The bottom line: If the Hillary campaign was looking to use New Hampshire as a firewall against a possible loss in Iowa, that doesn't look like it's much of an option at the moment.

3. Changing your tune?
Seems to me it wasn't too long ago you were berating anyone that posted a poll that any poll with more than a 4% MoE was completely useless...

I guess you didn't notice this one was at a 5% MoE right?

Cause you wouldn't be touting these polls now because your guy is in front would you...?

4. All though Polling has really improved in the last 31 years..my experiences on the ground
in 1976,1984, and 1992..is that the only reliable polls in NH are the Last 5 Days Tracking Polls. IMHO :patriot:

5. I don't really care about polls actually
However, it is funny seeing people who are obsessed by polls and flaunt them ad nauseum find out that the big leads in the polls have evaporated...

6. This doesnt surprise me at all.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I would be absolutely shocked if HRC won NH.

To date, still, Ive received zero mailers from her campaign. Furthermore, despite the fact that I live right down the street from one of her offices... Ive yet to see a single canvasser.

Meanwhile, Ive been visited by Obama canvassers not once, not twice, but three times. And just this week I received an incredible 20 page booklet mailer, along with several standard sized others.

A lot of people Ive talked to have said the feel HRC is taking NH for granted. Thats a big no-no around here.
