Why Dick Cheney won't resign
OK he still has time to leave on his own and his health has never been good. However it's getting really really late in the game for Cheney to step down and let another republican come to center stage.

An electable republican that is. So far no one in the GOP camp is running strong against any of the Democrats. So let's think like a Republican for a moment. It's good to understand the mind set of the enemy.

Having an electable Republican sitting in the Vice President's office is the single most effective thing the GOP could have to help strengthen their field of FOOLS in '08. I mean JUST LOOK AT THEM: Huckabee running in front of Rotten Rudy???

They are pitiful. So from a strategic level the best thing for the GOP to do is to have Dick Cheney resign and then have little George appoint a known Conservative Governor from some Western or Southern State. I can't think of any names but one should be available.

But Dick won't take a hike on cue. The question is: Why not? He serves no useful purpose in the Republican party anymore. It's like there is no Vice President. So as if we didn't already know, Dick Cheney sure ain't a team player.

To me it seems obvious that Dick Cheney's only reason for continuing on as V/P is to keep up his daily briefing on secret matters and to shake down any snitches within the White House. This must be a horrendous task. All the LIES, secret maneuvers, and outright extortion of staffers.

A major burden.

What would Dick Cheney be hiding that trumps his decision to leave for the "good" of the GOP? Take your pick. The first is the 9/11 plot followed by Iraq and the Patriot Act. Makes the outing of Valerie Plame seem like very small fry.

And then there are "little" things like the Anthrax attacks. A way of intimidating Congress the way the CIA kept LBJ in line: Fool with us and you're dead just like JFK.

Dick Cheney is so deep in conspiracy to commit mass murder and, lying to Congress, the American people well you name it, he's in on it.

The next few months will prove pivotal. Not so much even because of the CIA interrogation tapes being destroyed. Just by the sheer weight and build up of ugly ugly falsehoods over seven years. All backed up again and again with Bull Shit statements from the White House in response.

Think about it: Who WOULDN'T RESIGN in such a situation? No rational person would want to continue on in Dick Cheney's job (with Dick Cheney's record) unless...

Unless he was very very scared. Scared to death.

It's gonna get really ugly folks.

But sooner or later the sun will come out. The truth will be told about many things: JFK's murder and the Bush family/CIA complicity. Then the 9/11 fraud and other unspeakable crimes. And God knows what other shit they tried but failed to pull off.

There's just too much ugliness to keep things as is.

1. Macho primitives never willingly admit mistakes
or admit personal failings...

or admit ignorance...

or give up power...

or laugh at strangers' jokes when among friends...

or ask directions...

I've noticed this too. Very insightful of you.

What is it about humor that makes an asshole unhappy? The irony? Satire?

Something. Because, not to sound immodest, I can almost never fail to make my friends chuckle, but a boor or a Neo Con?

They only laugh after hurting someone else.

Cheney IS the shadow government. He'll never give up that much power voluntarily.

And, as you said, he's not a team player; he doesn't give a rat's ass about the GOP. He's in it for his own personal enrichment. On Jan. 21, 2009, he's off to Dubai (or wherever he's rumored to have a house.) He got what he wanted, and screw everyone else. He's the ultimate neocon!
