DNC fund drive calls

Has anyone else gotten these? I got a call on my cell phone yesterday - caller ID said "not available." I have gotten a few of these lately so I answered it to make sure it was not a friend or something. So it was the DNC. He started his plug - I cut him off and said "sorry this is a cell phone" - his reply, "we only call once a year so I will make it short".

He started to read some script and I attempted to cut him off. I said "no this is a cell phone I dont want you to call this number again". He kept talking while I was talking the whole time. So I yelled "Shut up and let me talk this is my phone you called shut up" he talked the whole time I said that - so I just hung up. I had never had such a rude call in my life - the man would not even let me say remove me from your list because he just read his script and ignored me.

How do I get my cell phone off of the DNC's call list? Anyone know? I'll never donate to them after this thats for sure...

1. Be sure not to donate.

They are a very bad group. Did you hear about the way they are trying to fund political direotors in all 50 states?

Now, my friend....that is a terrible idea. It is far better to let the elite in DC make the decisions. Don't you think?

Good for you. I am so glad you told them off. Worst group on earth. I mean the nerve of them trying to rebuild the state parties. How dare they?

4. I just don't like the phone calls on my cell or the attitude of the caller

I have donated to them in the past - I personally have started to give to individuals instead of groups as a blanket rule - so It has nothing to do with any of their goals or politics - personally I love Howard Dean - I just feel donating locally and to individual candidates is what is best for *me*.

Unless it is a concerted effort to hurt the funding of the party.

Everyone wants to announce their "I got a phone call and I told them off" stuff.

not to discourage anyone from giving to any group. You may have unlimited minutes on your phone I do not.

3. I emailed them today and asked to please remove me from their list

we will see if that actually happens. I really feel the Do Not Call list should be modified to not exclude political groups - or at the very least to not call cell phones.

my point was them talking over me rather than not calling my CELL PHONE.

10. What I wrote is not personal....I do this on all the "do not donate" threads.

Some days for a while there were 4 or 5 a day.

How did they get your cell phone number?
