Huckabee Surge Continues, Giuliani Imploding

Political Wire got an advance look at a poll to be released later today from one of the early primary states that confirms Mike Huckabee's surge in the GOP presidential nomination battle. Similar results have been recorded in most recent national and early state polls.

Most of Huckabee's gains come at the expense of Rudy Giuliani who has experienced a rapid collapse in the polls.

Given the unbelievable comments Huckabee has made that have been publicized lately...I'm not so sure this is a bad thing...

There was a gun show and the only people there outside the civic center with political signs were for Ron Paul.

ON EDIT: I think I posted this coment in the wrong thread. Sorry.

2. According to Rasmussen's daily poll, Rudy is back on top at 24% to Hucky's 19%.

5. Isn't that a national poll?
Not that it isn't important but I think state polls right now are where Rudy is hurting. I'm pretty sure he's just blowing off Iowa and New Hampshire and looking towards 2/5. Smart of him although you would think that with all the stories coming out about his corruption, he would be sinking nationally as well. Fine by me, a weakened Rudy will be even more fun to beat.

6. Yep--Rudy's always been kinda weak in early-state polls, but he
was strong in national polls until last week, when his numbers dipped below 20 and below Huck. Now he might have stabilized or come back up--will have to see if it's a trend. I don't think they'll discard Rudy so quickly.

3. I wonder which early voting primary state this could be.
The Ghoul is not expected to do well in Iowa and polls already show Huckster has taken over the top spot there. If it's NH, this is big news. Up to this point, Huckster has been in single digits in NH, with Ghoul in second. The Huckster "crusade" is in full swing now. Watch out!!

4. Paul is sneaking up on them all.
Huckleberry came from nowhere to lead the pack.

Ron Paul is still nowhere, but he has the big Mo.

Which will be more and more important as the truth about Huckabee hits the air.
