1. Yes, but...

It should be pointed out that, in the link you posted, Obama's leading in the Iowa poll, while the trend in both New Hampshire and South Carolina is upward for Obama and downward for Hillary. I think it may be a case of too little too late, but I also think it's disingenuous to declare Hillary free and clear at this point.

On edit: Actually, it would be more accurate to say the South Carolina trend is downward for Hillary, upward for Edwards, with Obama remaining about the same. Sorry, my bad. :hi:

2. She'll be the candidate...
American Idolship won't last. People want a real candidate.

4. the head to head polls are even more telling.
Hillary beats everyone, even Guiliani, by large enough margins to ensure a victory.
The best matchup for us would be Hillary vs. Romney, but that won't happen. I am beginning to think that Guiliani will win the nomination, based on polls.
Republicans always go by the polls.
We should pay attention to them and stop the bickering. We HAVE to win in 2008.

6. I think your "American Idolship" claim shows why Hillary and her supporters are dropping.

3. Wow, Biden is off the map
Remember when all the polls were wrong and Kerry won it. Maybe there is a loophole if you poll enough people to get the result you like.

12. Biden will likely do better in Iowa than this shows....
because of the way they caucus. I think he will be second choice for many and will end up in a higher spot. JMHO

11. Her lead can easily be overcome, though. Her leads are now down to 10 points or less.
The inevitability is gone.

Her leads are what? Down to what?

Try this: http://www.pollster.com/08-US-Dem-Pres-Primary.php

Wanna redo that math on points up or down?

20. why do you continue to post this poll as evidence of anything?
Most of the polls included in it are over a month old when name-recognition was all you needed.

Go find yourself a graph of polls from the last month and you will see quite a different slope.

22. Why? Because.......
This poll graph was posted because this thread started out with: "Her leads are now down to 10 points or less."

Obviously that is not true. And that graph is dated Dec. 5, 2007 - hardly a month old.

Go here to RCP and check the dates: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/democratic_primaries.html

Poll Date Sample Clinton Obama Edwards Richardson Biden Spread

Rasmussen 12/06 - 12/09 750 LV 38 28 11 3 4 Clinton +10.0
AP-Ipsos 12/03 - 12/05 469 RV 45 23 12 4 2 Clinton +22.0
LA Times/Bloomberg 11/30 - 12/03 529 LV 45 21 11 3 3 Clinton +24.0
USA Today/Gallup 11/30 - 12/02 494 A 39 24 15 4 4 Clinton +15.0

18. Those polls remain valid only if actual voters in Iowa and New Hampshire confirm them. If Hillary
wins in Iowa and New Hampshire, she probably runs the table. If Hillary stumbles in Iowa or New Hampshire, her wide-but-shallow support in all the other states collapses like a house of cards.

23. It would collapse if all her voters were only behind her because
she's leading. That isn't the case.

21. National Polls are meaningless right now.
The only polls that matter right now are IA, NH, and SC.

If Obama wins those the national polls will shift to match the new reality.

24. She has the lead nationally. But if she doesn't have the headline story on
January 4th, those national numbers are likely to change.

I think the Clinton campaign is facing an onslaught of voter reconsideration.

The national lead is good to have, if it can be held.
