Reminder: Don't let the NIE slip off the radar as a result of the hoopla about
the CIA tapes. A couple of DUers have pointed that out -- and we would do well to remember that, and remind our representatives should they 'forget'.

3. The POINT of this is, which these people seem to drift away from, is that this
administration was in possession of this intelligence, tried to tweak it, sit on it, hide it, then lied about it.

No one is saying that Iran doesn't continue to be a threat; they're just acknowledging that Iran isn't the IMMEDIATE threat the Bush administration heavily hinted it was.

I was thinking this morning that it was pretty much a given among pundits, newscasters and politicians themselves, that we'd be going into Iran before the end of the Bush term. We were PRETTY DAMN CLOSE. Again, the point is, THIS ADMINISTRATION WAS LYING TO US.

Regardless of whether the NIH is correct or incorrect, that doesn't negate the facts of the collusion and duplicity.

(By the way, I'm not telling YOU this, it's my frustrated response to the coverage. Again, their eyes aren't on the ball.)

2. It's already "old news"

because it doesn't fit our current plans. On the other hand, I've noticed a shift of interest back to Venezuela lately, probably due to the recalculation of their oil reserves. We may invade there first- Putin hasn't said he'd do anything if we wreck countries over here, yet.

5. The fact that we'd let this administration LIE to us regarding the information they
had on Iran absolutely infuriates me. THIS could be what puts impeachment "on the table".

Wish you hadn't even brought up Venezuela - now every time I hear it mentioned I'll be trying to discern the REAL meaning behind the words. :7

6. Hehe
if it's a Bushco press release, do what I do. Whatever they say, it's the exact opposite:

Bush: "Hugo Chavez is a Dictator, and we need to help his nation throw him out."

Translation: "Hugo Chavez won't do what I tell him to, so we're going to put someone in there who will, and hand over any and all wealth Venezuela has."
