Keith - He's got a lot of balls -
You ever notice how NO-ONE ever takes issue with KO's "Special Comments"?
You never read about them in the papers and it's never on the "Today" show.

There has to be a reason for that.
He kicked ass tonight and he said what I've been screaming for years.
How is this ignored?

I think this one is going to make an impact.

LIAR.
IDIOT.
PUPPET.
On national TV... the President of the United States was called out.

Goddamn.
Keith rules.

8. YES he does have them. I sent him a photo of large steel balls
after one of the first special comments. It was a fine photo, too.
He was awesome tonight, I had just sent a LTEditor about the same subject and felt I had not used my 200 words well enough.
"Bald faced liar", and "he has no business being President" would have worked a lot better.

9. I just got home and am sorry I missed him tonight.
I'll just have to wait at catch his repeat at midnight...Damn, I wanted to finally get to bed early...but you can bet I'll stay up for one of Keith's special comments.

I wonder if O'Liely ever comments on Keith's SC?
You're right about the news...I never noticed that no one ever has anything to say about his SC. I guess then they would have to agree with him and they don't have the nerve/balls to call the president a liar.

I will say this, the uniqueness and newness of this incarnation of "plausible deniablity" totalitarianism is in some ways a work of evil genius.

Keith is allowed to say what he says, giving them plausible deniability (Bushies in the 30s would have had him jailed or murdered long ago), but outside his 800,000 viewers or so...silence. Sometimes I amazed that even one KO is allowed. Plausible deniability, the Bushies favorite friend.

By contrast, the Swift Boat liars, for the most minimal of "initial investments", got weeks and weeks of 24/7 coverage of their lies, which as usual and because of the silence of the debunkings as they came out, laundered into Conventional Wisdom, with the other half of Americans throwing their hands up in confusion "he-said/she-said it's all bullshit.

I watch it happen every day. It is not only essentially unchanged (people are a little more skeptical, anbd there is a little more grumbling, but as Bush and Hitler could tell you, grumbling means nothing at all when compliance is assured) since 2000, but I think even in the face of increased skepticism, the Bushies ability to fully and 100% create False Realities is amazing and astonishing.

A credit, undoubtedly, to the massive progress made in the fields of psychology, advertsing/propaganda, marketing, and public relations.

13. You think anything can break MSM silence which protects the Bushies.
Edited on Fri Dec-07-07 06:48 AM by tom_paine
I am afraid the ignoring Keith, considering the Bushies control half the media and have the other have (with a few notable exceptions) pissing their pants and passing their propaganda unregurgitated.

I think there will be the complete and total silence which we behind the Televised Cutain of Lies that is Imperial Amerika have become accustomed to.

I hope I am wrong about this.

17. maybe you should send
the video or the written comment of KO´s special comment to a international newspaper or tv-station.
They will cover this as a media reation to Bush.

Have a try!

15. I was wondering the same thing this morning....
checking threads to see if anyone saw his special comment from last night mentioned on any morning radio or TV programs. Nothing, eh? Pitiful...yet not unexpected.

What does it take to get attention? Would Walter Cronkite speaking out (not only in an op-ed piece) in an interview get attention nowadays, or is he too "old school"?

16. I have saved every one of KO's Special Comments
on CDs. If this nation cannot be salvaged from the neocons and we retain the office of President as a dictatorship, someday I'll give them to my grandchildren so they can see what true dissent means. Fearless speaking of truth to power, mincing no words, and demanding to be taken seriously.

20. Brian Williams has been a guest correspondent on Countdown. Eventually,
NBC will give his comments more coverage, because, let's face it, the demographic for whom the corporomedia lusts is that which makes up his audience. An audience, BTW, which is growing by leaps and bounds.

I'm counting down myself to that moment when Matt and Meredith and Ann and Al play a portion of one of his special comments on "The Today Show" and then giggle nervously after, knowing they're enabling that which he artfully eviscerates.

It's not a matter of "if" they acknowledge him, it's a matter of "when".
