Possibility of Hillary as VP instead?
I don't believe she is as on top of the game as she would like everyone to believe, and furthermore, the reality of Iowa is soon to be upon us. Edwards, Obama or Biden are gonna kick her ass, and I don't think she will go down with humility, but maybe she could still have a position? One step further, do you think she would even be selected for a cabinet position? Things are gonna get nasty and the mighty can and will fall much harder than they thought.

29. Hillary Really Belongs on the Supreme Court
anything else is a misallocation of her talents.

32. Why?
She has never been a judge, as most SC have. I know that she was a highly thought of lawyer, but that was never the direction she took. She is supposedly happy in the Senate and she thinks she would like to be President - has she ever spoken of being a justice or even a judge?

3. I don't think the Edwards and Biden will come that close
let alone kick her ass, however I do think that Obama stands a good chance. As far as having her for a VP, I would support that, just not as the president.

8. But remember .. they always say that there is NO WAY they'd take the veep slot...

And their supporters always say that there's no way they'd ever except the #2 slot..

But things change --

All during the "Draft Clark" campaign, then the actual Clark campaign in '04, I agreed with everyone when they said that Clark would "never be anyone's Dick Cheney" ..

But he was one of the finalists vetted by Kerry and if he had been selected, I'm guessing he would have accepted the VP slot.

Rememner how adamant Senator Edwards was when he insisted that he would never run as the VP candidate?

We'll know soon enough ~~

33. Has he said that - Kerry said he would say nothing
about the selection process and I think he has held true to that, so I don't think the information is from him.

9. Frankly, I'd rather see her go back to the Senate as Majority Leader
or something akin to that. Also, I don't think she wants to be anything other than the Top (Big!) Dog in the Executive Branch. If she can't do that, she'd be smart to go for the top of the Legislative.

17. She could establish a separate "power base" (even w/a Dem Pres.)
It'd be really interesting to see her leading the Senate and ... ?? (D) as president.

At this point the candidates are distancing themselves from her. She has just entered into a free fall slide of the margin of error column. :nopity:

Including family members ---- and guess what ----

they do NOT want her to win the Democratic nomination!

On the flip side --- I know a LOT of Republicans who are working like hell to make sure she wins our nomination because it will be a dream come true for them --->

Anyhoo ~ Welcome to DU!!

30. I get the feeling that a majority would disagree with us however...
I think most 'regular' voters, even those that dont pick her as their no.1 choice, would be perfectly fine with HRC as VP. Personally though, Id just rather not have anything to do with her.

It's not as though I dont see why people are attracted to her. I do. I just dont want her in the White House. again. Bill either.

22. BULLSHIT...but then Hilllary bashers are good at that aren't they
those of the Obama persuasion that think he has any chance to win, just like Biden, Dodd or the rest. Edwards might give her a run for her money but no body else will be close.

She truly enjoys her work there. If she does not win the nomination, I don't see her accepting a VP position if it were offered.

when she doesn't win, if she doesn't see a run in 2012, i wouldn't be surprised if she retired from the Senate since it didn't achieve her aim.
