How convenient that it comes out right when the gleam toothed Mitt is making a statement that darn it, he worships Jesus too..

It's a pretty slick presentation, the commercial not the speech...

You can get a free DVD of the birth of him, it doesn't seem they mention Jesus but I have to admit I was a bit distracted by my hopped up cats running around the Christmas Tree (sorry, I just can't call it a holiday tree... Sue me...)

Anyway, you are also encouraged to ask your Mormon neighbors for a free copy or call the number on your screen...

Hey, I wonder if any of my neighbors are Mormon...

Are they really encouraging us to out everyone spiritually in the hood...

Hey dude, Happy Holidays... Say are you a Mormon 'cause this ad on the cable said you'd give me a free dvd...

it has zero to do with Romney. The video is about Jesus birth and life so yeah they kind of have to mention Jesus LOL.

As a former LDS missionary myself I would not recommend ordering the DVD or asking the neighbors for a copy - its just a way to get the missionaries to visit you, unless of course you want the missionaries coming by.

3. Mormonism is not popular where I stays at. We have Coca-Cola for breakfast,

iced tea and coffee throughout the day, and make whiskey which we have been known to consume upon occasion for purely medicinal purposes. We like our Masons in their regular attire and not in green "fig leaf aprons." Furthermore, we consider tobacco to be one of the bases of the Southern Food Pyramid (along with caffeine and alcohol), and were we able to baptize the dead, would most probably choose to allow our deceased hunting dogs to enter the Celestial Kingdom over an ancestor of whom we are sure wasn't raised right. We can't understand why old men in Utah are infallable and Bowden, Bryant and the Mannings not. I will go out on a limb and say that the average Mormon doesn't know the significance of the Racking Horse Show in Shelbyville, Tennessee or know that "The Tennessee Waltz" and not "Rocky Top" is the state song of the state, but were they to ever go on pilgrimage to the Coon Dog Cemetary in the Freedom Hills outside of Tuscumbia, Alabama, or to visit the shrines at Tullahoma, Lychburg and Bardstown (Dickel, Daniels, and Beam) we might give them a sporting chance at giving us a DVD, but we refuse to give up our native peasant costume for black slacks, short-sleeved shirt, and clip-on tie with name tag.

7. The Mormons don't use Blonde Aryan Jesus anymore.
Edited on Thu Dec-06-07 04:12 PM by Kucinich4America
He used to be on a lot of their publications, but you won't find him anymore. They buried him about the same time they disowned the story about the angels who wouldn't fight Lucifer becoming "black people".

firstly Im LDS (Mormon).

THere are plenty of church approved pictures of Jesus with blond hair and blue eyes. Even on the church's website - see the second picture of Jesus (http://www.lds.org/ldsnewsroom/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=d3ffe520f288f010VgnVCM100000176f620aRCRD&vgnextchannel=3e0511154963d010VgnVCM1000004e94610aRCRD)

As for the story about angels and black people you dont have that right either. The LDS church teaches that people are black because they are descendants of Cain - nothing to do with angels. You might be getting your stories confused - LDS doctrine teaches angels have actual physical bodies - those that sided with lucifer never came to earth to receive bodies so they could not be angles.

8. They've been running similar ads for as long as I can remember, either for
a DVD, or a VHS, or a book or two.
