RAS POLL: Hillary slips further, to her lowest point ever recorded (34), Obama 24, Edwards 16
Edited on Wed Dec-05-07 11:18 AM by jefferson_dem
While not falling as far as Giuliani, Hillary Clinton has lost ground recently in the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination. The former First Lady now attracts 34% of the vote nationwide. That’s the lowest level of support recorded for Clinton since Rasmussen Reports began daily tracking in mid-July (see recent daily numbers). In weekly results, Clinton’s support hasn’t been this low since April. (see history of full week results from January 18 to present).

Barack Obama is now within ten points of Clinton with 24% support nationwide. Among Democrats, Clinton, Obama, and John Edwards are locked in a tight battle leading up to the Iowa caucuses. Clinton still leads in New Hampshire, but her lead is declining. The former First Lady of both Arkansas and the United States recently stepped up her attacks on Obama in Iowa (see video).

John Edwards earns 16% of the vote while Bill Richardson attracts 7% of Likely Democratic Primary Voters nationwide. No other Democratic candidate tops 3% (see recent daily numbers).

6. How about we say "LA TIMES / BLOOMBERG" instead?
Same thing.

Linking to RCP while calling another source out as Republuglican. Too funny.

9. Bloomberg Is A Trostskyite Compared To Scotty "Fox News" Rasmussen
And the LA Times traditionally endorses Democrats...

And there are polls there from Gallup and Pew...

Hey, if you want to rely on Scotty Rasmussen don't let me rain on your parade... I just hope your bubble isn't burst like the bubble that was burst when his final 00 poll showed Bush* beating Gore 49% -40%

12. I was responding to your outlier comment.
I'm no more a fan of Scotty than I am of Zogby or any of the others. Actually, I am as troubled by his Robocalls as I am by Zogby's "Interactive" ones. They are both of questionable methodology, though both seem to be gaining favor among survey methodologists.

Have you forgotten that Hillary's henchman Mark Penn is partners with Doug Schoen, who works for Rassmussen?

7. Don't you post routinely post the Ras results?
Why are you all of the sudden ridiculing it as biased and irrelevant now?

13. I Will Keep Posting Them
But as you know and an (autosearch of my posts) will back me up :

1)I have always been an advocate of looking at several polls and an opponent of cherry picking just one unless one is all that is available...

2) I have always been suspicious of Rasmussen's methodology and his Republican bias which is reflected in Bush* polling four to seven points higher than other polls and Republican presidential candidates polling four to seven points higher in his polls against their Democratic challengers than other polls...

3)It's hard to believe that HRC can have twenty to thirty points leads in states as large as PN, FL, CA, and OH and only be leading nationally by ten points...It's the same universe of voters...

4) I guess we will learn in the fullness of time who is right and who isn't...

5) I hope you don't take this personal...

14. Keep whistling past that graveyard.
I look forward to David's daily posting of the line-graph trend. That should make it clear, even to you, how she's tanking.

It's a two-step deal. First people turn in their invitation to the coronation, then they look for another place for their support. They've likely left her for good... Sorry.

11. We'll see. This poll also had a big drop for Obama just before Thanksgiving.
Other national polls show Hllary with a stong lead.

Not sure what to make of all this.
