I Give Up. I Don't Have a Clue as to What Iowa Will Do at This Point, But Here's Some Cheap Advice.
I've never seen anything as fluid as the upcoming Iowa caucuses are shaping up to be.

But, here's some cheap advice:

HILLARY: You've got some real work to do now because your support for the Kyle/Lieberman Resolution against Iran has underscored your being played as a sucker by the Bush Administration and also reminds voters that you did also foolishly vote for the Iraqi War Resolution. Moreover, Bill Clinton getting caught on video bull-shitting that he was against the invasion of Iraq before it took place was not a good thing. You need to change this subject quickly because this is a loser for you. Your winning issues are that you and Bill are still very popular with the average Democratic voter even if the activist base is turned off. Americans know you and your husband did oversee 8 years of peace and prosperity. But lately you're making a lot of foolish mistakes and I was the first guy to say your campaign was "flawless" way back when. Get back on track and realize you can not win the Middle East arguments because you have too much baggage. In politics, as election day approaches, the old adage is "you come back home" to your core constituents. Hillary, that is women. Work it and work it hard and they can put you at the top.

OBAMA; You've made your points about Hillary. You benefited from John Edwards attacking Hillary while it cost him in the polls for weeks. But now you are falling into the same mess. You have just precious weeks now to reinforce the positive, upbeat, forward thinking image that Americans were taken with initially. Tell voters why to vote for you now instead of why to vote against her.

EDWARDS: Dude, you are alive again. Thank goodness you quit the Hillary bashing because it only helped Obama. As Obama and Hillary have hit the low road the last two weeks, you have had a come back in the polls and Iowans are looking back to you as their sweetheart once again. You have the organization. You have worked Iowa harder than any of the other Democrats and you need now to talk Iowan and go positive and make George W. Bush the enemy. And tell them why you are a Democrat.

BIDEN: What can I say? Where was this Joe Biden all year long? You have hit every note in the opera right on pitch and you are turning heads from the activist base including flattering articles in The Nation and, on the other side, positive corporate media coverage. You will have to pull ahead of Bill Richardson and be in the top four or I'm afraid you are done.

KUCINICH: Why did you ignore Iowa? If ever any candidate had the certification of being right when it mattered, it was you. With Howard Dean out of the running this time, you could have really muscled in there in Iowa. I don't get your strategy, but Iowa is a state where money isn't important, but passion is. Your supporters have passion, but I'll never understand why you took a pass at Iowa.

RICHARDSON: You are the wild card and may surprise the hell out of a lot of people. Everyone knows you will score in Nevada, but there are three contests before then. Keep up the statesmanship role that you offer. You've stayed above the bickering and fray and people like that.

I wish all our candidates the best and can honestly say that I know longer have a clue as to what will happen, but I hope that they all remember that Democrats want to hear you attacking George W. Bush, not each other. And we want to hear how and where you will lead our nation to a better and brighter future.

And good luck to all of your here at the DU who are so loyal and passionate about your candidates. Just remember that only one can win and we will need your hearts and passion whenever our nominee is selected. We will really need you.

2. Biden already moved ahead of Richardson in one ARG poll...
"Biden regularly draws more people to his appearances than his poll numbers would suggest. And even those indicate some progress: The latest ARG poll showed him at 8 percent and moving ahead of New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson; and he inched up to 6 percent in the latest Iowa Poll."

Consider this, he has spent most of this year, at 2,4% depending on where you look, and all of a sudden, he shoots up to 6% in the last week or so. So, something is on the move...even though it doesn't sound like much, in a week, it is. If the front runners moved up/down 2/4 pts. in a week, people would be all over it...

8. No doubt that Senator Dodd is qualified to be POTUS.
I had the honor to meet Senator Dodd in 1996 at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago when he addressed the GLBT caucus there. He could step into the White House tomorrow and govern and lead with his great intellect and sense of fairness.

I have none of my cheap advice for him because I think he's in the same box that Joe Biden is. The top three have sucked all the oxygen out of the race and the media will not cover anyone else. Biden has broken through a little lately.

While I disregard the significance of the GOP results in Iowa because they always seem to go for religious fanatics (Pat Robertson back in 1988 and Huckabee now) , I do hold Iowa in high regard as it pertains to Democrats as they have a track record, along with New Hampshire, in providing the temperature of the country early on.

Again, I really do respect Chris Dodd.

I'd be one of his hardy band of supporters right now if I hadn't chosen someone else. He's a good man.

I'd disagree on Richardson surprising a lot of people though. If it weren't for Nevada, I think he would drop out after NH, but he'll wait till after NV.

Edit out question about Dodd. Addressed upthread.
