6. What if God comes down and annoints * King of Kings?

Iraq WON'T get better because it CAN'T. All that can be different about Iraq is the spin and possibly the Chimpministration taking advantage of a lull to high-tail it out of there before it collapses in Civil War. We knocked off Tito, figuratively speaking, and now we don't know what to do with Yugoslavia. If your friend can't understand the reference, there is no point trying to educate him.

The economy will have to be a WHOLE lot better to make up for more than 3 million lost jobs. And it's a credit card recovery in any case. What about the deficit that our children will have to pay? * is trying to jumpstart the economy by pushing huge debts off on our children. He's a borrow-and-spend Repug, just like his Poppy and Reagan. What happened to fiscal conservatism?

If your friend thinks that these things, plus the utter destruction of Social Security and Medicare are positives, then he'll vote for the Chimp no matter what happens, even as they are repossessing his refrigerator box / domicile in a couple of years.

because he is the most balanced candidate in all policy areas.
He is also the most experienced across all areas.

When it comes to experience Kerry has it. Also believe Kerry would be strongest against shrub in a debate. Clark is good too

7. It will be hard but...
I think some things will still be the same.

After Osama is captured, it's simply time to pull out the price tags and confront the American people with what it cost us to wage an UNNECESSARY WAR with Iraq. Then show them what that money COULD have paid for.

Capturing bin Laden doesn't change the stupidity of war in Iraq, or the waste of American dollars, or the loss of American lives. Going to war with Iraq has not made our nation safer, it has not improved our economy, it has not helped to restore jobs, it has not given AMERICANS health care (although we ARE PAYING FOR HEALTH CARE FOR ALL IRAQI CITIZENS, oh the irony!)

Making the case for health care, fiscal conservatism, global alliances and jobs is still the right message for the upcoming election. Bush is not doing well enough on any of those 4 issues for my taste.

8. Has any policy been enacted by Bush to prevent jobs from being exported?
Edited on Mon Dec-29-03 03:14 PM by w4rma
No.

Particularly the middle class, decent paying jobs?

Nothing has been done, so the jobs will keep leaving and the mean salary of all American jobs will keep dropping.

Is the cost of living rising while the cost of entertainment is dropping?

Yes.

What is the mean salary of any new jobs created in this economy?

There are now more than 3 million jobs less available than when Bush first took office. And, in addition, many middle-class jobs are being replaced with poverty-class jobs.

Is the stock market doing well?

Yup, because these events may not affect the stock market and price gouging and profits are extremely high right now, particularly on required to live items such as electricity, gas and rent.

11. I trust the Dean campaign.
Give those guys a bottle of STP and a few coathangers, and they'll build a credible campaign out of it.

Under such a scenario I'd stick with job exportation (assuming good economy), foreign policy (regardless of how Iraq goes), and healthcare, putting the entire campaign under a "people versus special interests" umbrella.

You see, that IS the correct answer. Now what does your candidate do?

16. this demostrates a lack of understanding of
the fundamentals of both topics.

What do you think can possibly happen between now and November that would result in improvements in either of these areas? I would be extremely interested to know.

You can even just choose one.
