BIden's take on Iran's nuclear readiness.
This was in response to an inane comment by Giuliani - plus, if you'll recall, Biden said essentially the same thing during the previous debate:

Biden: "He talks about it like Iran . . . is on the verge of getting that are deployable and usable, when that is simply not the case. . . If they are able to set up 30,000 gas centrifuges and connect them all and keep them running without interruption for one year, that would produce enough highly enriched uranium - 2.6 kilograms - to build one bomb. That doesn't even get them near the capacity to . . . put it in a warhead . . . put it on top of a missile, and make it a deliverable system. . . They are probably somewhere between four and 10 years away from even being able to build a nuclear weapon, let alone making it usable. . . To me that demonstrates that he either doesn't have a grasp of the facts or that he is just engaging in fear-mongering."

I'm believing Biden on this -- and all foreign policy statements, come to think of it. He's surely the one who knows what's going on and let's us know the facts.

I'm posting this now because of the new intel report on Iran's LACK of nukes, and in anticipation of what Bushco will counter with.

Regardless of whether you like him or not, he's probably the one we should look to regarding foreign policy facts and guidance. I'm looking forward to his comment on this latest story.

2. There's a documentary I try to get people to watch...
it's about 3 hours long, but it's in 3 parts, so you can easily watch at your leisure. It is a walk through time, and how terrorism, the republicans, and corrupt politicians have damaged, and controlled this country. It's called The Power of Nightmares, and it was done by the BBC. It really exposes the right wingers, religion, and their fear factor, and some of the same people involved throughout history...Cheney, Rumsfeld, Reagan, Bush's...Paul Wolfowitz

4. It sounds fascinating and infuriating. I'll look at it, though. Just to get my
blood pressure REALLY sky high.

11. Oh, and by the way...
Joe was talking about this at least 10 months ago. Now I see there are others saying, once again, "Joe's Right". Watch as JE spins this one...like he owns it.

5. Here's what I said in the other thread..
This whole Iran thing started back when Bush got pissed off at Iran, and they had just taken down the Taliban, who, by the way, Iran helped us get. And then Bush argued with Iran over whether or not they had/knew where OBL's brother was. Iran said they didn't have him, Bush insisted they did, so there was a stalemate, and 2 days later, Bush added Iran to the "Axis of Evil".

8. Interesting theories, but you know me, I always come back to the MONEY. I'm
guessing since we've not been too successful in sharing Iraq's liquid gold (seeing how we were greeted as liberators and all) that the admin is moving next door to see if we can snag THEIR oil revenues or production or reserves or wherever the MONEY is...

One of the most startling revelations in this was, back before Reagan was elected, the religious right had always told their people no to vote. for whatever reason, can't remember...evil or something... When Reagan was running, they said OK-go vote now. This started an avalanche of right wing voters, in fact, over a million newly registered republicans voted for Reagan.

7. Many of Us...
have known for a long time that the information the Bush Administration was putting out was bullshit. About 6 months ago I saw a someone being interviewed on Countdown...and he was saying that Iran was by no means close to having a bomb and they wouldn't be for at least 10 years.

9. I think those of us, who are paying attention...
know the truth. The people who are busy going on with their daily lives, and only get to hear sound bites on the evening news, don't know, because are not political lunkies like we are. So they really have no idea of the truth, unfortunantely.
