All this forced outrage over "attacks" is just silly
The candidates ALWAYS do this - in every election for every office. They complain about being attacked while offering their own attacks.

The supporters should stop buying into it. They're running for the same office, and they're running AGAINST each other. It comes across as disingenuous when the candidates complain, but heck, that's how the game is played.

But we don't have to buy into it. Stop pretending to be outraged when your candidate is "attacked". The "attacks" are just normal politics, and don't say anything about the character of the candidates involved (unless the attacks are ridiculously over-the-top smears, and I've seen none of that among the Dem candidates). It's natural to point out differences, it's normal to cherry-pick a record, it's routine to make a big deal out of perceived hypocrisy. And it's also natural, normal and routine for the candidates to pretend to be outraged by it.

7. I don't understand
why is that?

Surely you're not suggesting that I have feigned outrage over what one candidate says about another. That would just be dishonest.

4. Thank you for this thread.
It is a breath of fresh air amid the fumes of bullshit piled high and deep here. You can almost suffocate on the crap this morning. If manufactured outrage is all that members of the Democratic Party can find to discuss in these difficult times, then perhaps maybe we should continue to let Republicans "govern." We will gain nothing by playing Republican games and using their tactics. Let's get back to business.

8. Good post
I promise from here on out that I will never say anything negative about a candidate. Now all we need is a web site called Droopyattacks.com

But, seriously, I think a lot of people like that sort of competition. That's not really my cup of tea although I have engaged in it in the past. Now days I'm Mr. Neutrality in these serious forums aside from a casual reference to Kucinich now and then.

9. oh, I love the competition
I'm a politics junkie!

But I just think it's silly to act like these sorts of things are unprecedented or somehow out of place in politics.

10. The forced Hillbot outrage over EVERYTHING is just silly
Yesterday y'all were whining because she got booed at the Heartland conference, and staring 6,000 threads about that. Today it's the same astroturf rage, only about the Obama campaign listing Camp Hillary's attacks against him.

How is either situation the fault of anyone other than Hillary and/or her campaign??

11. this isn't about Just Clinton
It's about all of the candidates.

I didn't start any threads yesterday about the Heartland conference. Didn't even participate in any.

You come across as a knee-jerk idiot when you use terms like "hillbots" and lump all supporters of a candidate together.

And that you somehow read my OP and only thought about Clinton doesn't reflect well on your reading comprehension skills.
