DUers - Please ignore Rove/Novak et al and their attempts to
Edited on Sun Dec-02-07 07:25 PM by rosesaylavee
to promote one dem candidate over another. Before you froth at the mouth or spend too much time trying to figure out why they would say a good thing about one candidate at the other's expense... take a deep breath, remember who they are, and decide to laugh at their stupidity before you move on to other important topics... too many to list here. Novak worked his magic last week and lit up the blogs. Rove wants to play this week. You know he doesn't deserve the attention.

End of message. Have a good evening.

1. K&R... What rosesaylavee said...WE WILL CHOOSE OUR CANDIDATE.
Remember that. WE WILL CHOOSE OUR CANDIDATE.

Ignore them. Consider this post to be the end of the subject.

4. So we should all support Hillary now just because Rove pretends to oppose her?
Bullshit.

5. No, we should ignore Rove and continue with the dialogue
within the party on our own terms. Has nothing to do with one candidate or the other. Has a lot to do with necons trying to insert themselves into the Democratic Party process.

16. EXACTLY.
Why is it so hard for DUers to see that this tactic is meant to do just what it IS doing on this thread and on the other I cited? They want us to bicker amongst ourselves.

AND btw, neither Obama and Clinton are on my short list for the primary. Will of course vote for whoever gets the nomination. This stupid childish ploy is obvious to anyone not deeply sensitive about one or the other's campaign. Trust me. Rove is messing with us - this has NOTHING to do with Obama or Clinton and everything to do with, as you say, inserting themselves into the Democratic Party process.

6. I would have agreed several months ago... BUT...
every time someone to the right gives Hillary even the weakest compliment, people on DU claim it proves she has the GOP's support. Now that Obama is winning their "support," I see no reason why we should think anything different.

you can kiss her chances goodbye. Those aren't just poor misguided GOPers, but the architects of evil. You should be ignoring them too.

9. we should ignore them now that they've offering Obama aid and comfort.
When Hillary gets their attention, it's only proof they want her as the nominee. Right? :eyes:

11. They are offering no one aid and comfort, but
suffering fools who would bite gladly. If you want to hang Hillary's campaign on an endorsement by those two, be my guest. I will ignore them. They do not speak for me.

15. well, sure they are... UNLESS....
you're willing to dig out all the threads (and there were many) where someone on the right said something nice about Clinton and the DU Faux Outrage Brigade screamed "Hillary is the GOP's choice!!! ... and say they were all bullshit and call out the ones who said it and say to them "suffering fools who would bite gladly."

19. No, we should ALWAYS ignore them, and try to dialog with each other in good faith.
They want us to fight among ourselves.
To call each other names and to split the party.
Anyone that does that is helping the enemy.
And you are healing the rifts how, now?

Small consolation that my position has been consistent.
You seem more interested in conflict and keeping it going than anything remotely resembling a respectful dialog.
Why is that?

20. I bet the Obama people are not thinking this is a good thing.
For one thing, how does public advice from a known felon from the other side help a campaign? Secondly, this advice reads like a backhanded compliment at best. I can see where you are coming from, but really, I am about as above the fray on this one as someone can get. I am not voting for either Obama or Clinton in the primary. This is a ruse and I bet Rove is enjoying every post he reads on this. He's an idiot and doesn't deserve any more attention. The Novak thing seemed odd - this confirms to me that this is their pre-primary tactic to further confuse the common Democratic voter.

I say, let's not add to their fun.

10. Weren't some people here suggesting that Hillary was in bed with Novak...
when he did the article about some "dirt" the Clinton campaign had on Obama?

I was surprised to see so many people viewed Novak as a credible source on this forum.

13. Novak is a lying traitor who outed a CIA agent.
Period. He's a right wing neocon mouthpiece. Period. Ignore him. He has no credibility.

I meant on this forum, in my above post.

21. A voice of calm reason! Thanks, rosie!
When Novak and Rove decide to have some fun and stir up some shit, there's no good reason for any of us to stick our noses in and take a deep whiff. Anything they say -- good or bad -- about any of our dems should be considered pure manure and avoided accordingly.

"When Novak and Rove decide to have some fun and stir up some shit,

Perhaps you could work that into a DU shuffle/rap thang so we can all remember it more easily?

23. On the contrary, I think we need to encourage Rove.
As I noted elsewhere, if a career as a wise old political hand doesn't pan out, he's liable to start writing novels. When Republicans write novels, they put in sex scenes. Some day children might read those novels, and be so disgusted that they all decide to run away and become hermits.

Won't someone think of the children!
