My feelings towards hillary is well known.
But, this is not about that. There were 5 people today who were in grave danger and put through hell.
We need to stop trashing for one day and just stand together for one day.
Shall we call a temporary truce until tomorrow? and just be thankful those young people made it out alive and okay.
And that the guy surrendered without any harm coming.

1. They were made to think they were in grave danger
But at no time were they actually in grave danger.

2. What's the difference?
In the thick of it, they're lives were on the line.

9. Psychologically, from their perspective, there is no difference
I'm sure it was a frightening ordeal for them. I'm just pointing out that there was never any bomb, nor any intent on the part of the hostage taker to do them any physical harm.

or media vans camped out on their lawns. May they return to their homes safely to get on with their lives and may the sick man who threatened them get the help he so desperately needs.

5. I'll say whatever I want about my family.
But you keep your hands off! With you 100% IP.

This is the way I live. This is how I grew up. We fight like hell with each other, but woe the one he tries to say or do anything from the outside to one of our Dems, or their people.

Simply put? "I'll say what I want about my sister, but don't you talk about my sister."

Hillary, to any outsider, is my sister. Those brave people working for her are all my brothers and sisters.

Same goes for everyone here. (Unless you're just some re-pug-lickin who's faking it.)

Peace, and good wishes.

7. Yes . . .may this traumatic event quell the incessant divisiveness and derisiveness
so common in this blessed, though sometimes unruly, ridiculous forum and at least for a while, allow us to see there is far more that unites us than divides us.

We all share heart driven desires to ameliorate our circumstances and stand up for the well being of innocent lives and care deeply for those who need it the most.

Perhaps we can be more mindful of that fact and integrate this unfortunate occurrence as something to help us be more united in the human family and stop sweating the small stuff so much.

I wish upon wish.

11. I agree!
I've been bummed out the whole afternoon about this and wondered if next time it won't be worse. There are so many kooks out there, that I do fear there'll be a next time.

12. All of us who volunteer for candidates could be in their shoes.
A very confused person came up to talk to my friend and me while we were tabling for Edwards yesterday. He was not angry, and he did not have anything troubling or threatening to say. He just talked irrelevant gibberish on and on. But, that is a reminder. You never know when someone can go completely crazy. My heart goes out to the people who were working in Hillary's office whether they were paid staff or volunteers.
