John Edwards Mocks Republicans For Being Afraid To Take Questions From Democrats
Edited on Fri Nov-30-07 09:24 AM by EV_Ares

http://www.crooksandliars.com/Media/Play/23901/1/Countdown-Edwards-Republicans.wmv/

Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards talked with Keith Olbermann on Countdown about his take on the campaign so far, President Clinton’s statement that he was against the war, how out of touch the Republicans are with mainstream Americans and of course, the cavalcade of gifts they handed the Democrats in last night’s debate.

Edwards and Olbermann made light of way the right (I’m looking at you, Michelle Malkin, although it made Joe Scarborough an angry little Republican this morning as well) is going nutty over the fact that a Hillary Clinton volunteer–who, by the way, was a registered Republican and a member of the Log Cabin Republicans and has contributed no money to the Clinton campaign–was allowed to ask a question during the debate last night.

As Keith put it, if the Republicans can’t handle the Democrats, how can they handle Al Qaeda?

1. Wait a minute....
This from the candidate who won't go on Fox for a debate? I knew Edwards had no backbone (a HUGE house and a ton of money, though).

If Edwards had any cojones, he'd go ANYWHERE and stand up for his principles. This is just another example of him NOT being my candidate.

4. stupid me - I applauded Edwaards for standing up to Fox
and calling them out for what they are - an arm of the Republican Party. As such they should not be given legitimacy as news organization.
Please keep tearing down our candidates.
I will campaign for whoever the Democratic Party deems is who we want as president.
And forgive me for being so stupid.

5. That's bullshit.

Why in the hell should any Dem candidate legitimize Faux by appearing on their network? It's not a news channel, it's 100% propaganda, 24/7, written by the GOP for public consumption. I'm glad when the Dems have refused to appear on that disgusting excuse of a network.

Edwards earned his money on his own. He didn't inherit it, and it wasn't given to him. He worked hard for it and he deserves the fruits of his labor. That is, after all, what America is about. And he's just about the only candidate that truly wants a fair chance for all Americans to have those same things.

You'd almost think that the rest of the candidates all lived in one bedroom flats somewhere. From what I've seen, they all have pretty nice homes, and all of them live pretty comfortably.

Your post seems a bit hypocritical to me. :eyes:

6. Being a Fox supporter, I can understand why he would not be your candidate.

7. Who do you like Sweet Pea?
I was looking at some of your other posts. You seem to like to talk about John Edwards haircut and his house. Maybe you are a fan of Fox since that is their style.

One of the only democrats who goes on Fox is Dennis Kucinich--yet you don't support him because he is unelectable.

I'm just wondering what democrat you like in this primary or if your real preference is to talk about Edwards house and hair.

8. Maybe she likes Hillary since Rupert Murdoch owns Fox and held
a fund raiser for Hillary at his house.

9. Didn't Clinton back out of the Fox debate?
Maybe I'm putting too much thought into this.

you remember she did go on Fox a few weeks or a month or so back and she was good. She laughed at the guy who has that Sunday morning show, his dad was a dem newscaster. Was pretty funny.

12. He WAS standing up to his PRINCIPLES when he refused to acknowledge Faux News as a legitimate news
Edited on Fri Nov-30-07 12:59 PM by 8_year_nightmare
organization! As far as I'm concerned, his refusal to entertain Faux News' invitation was done in OUR name & I'm PROUD of that stand. Faux News should not only be minimalized & shunned, it should be removed from the public airwaves.

Backbone, my eye. You've got to be kidding.

14. Edwards won't go on FOX because he hates FOX. Not questions.
And any patriot who loves America and the truth ought to hate FOX.

2. After Kucinich was asked about UFO's, I can't believe they're complaining about valid questions.

13. I applauded JE when Keith asked him his thoughts on this. Are Repugs
under the impression that Democrats aren't allowed to ask them questions?? All JE did was point this out and added, if they can't take questions from Democrats, how are they going to handle terrorists or something to that effect.
