Have your donation to Kucinich doubled if you donate by tomorrow
The federal government will match any political contributions made to a candidate up through tomorrow. Don't forget to donate to Dennis' campaign. Every little bit helps:

3. It's unlikely that he will "renounce" a close friend...
but, it would probably help if he made it clear that Paul is not a potential running mate.

4. Maybe Kucinich was taken out of context, and just meant he'd invited Ron Paul...
to have a threesome with him and his hot, tongue-pierced wife.

6. That's a truly tacky post, the sort of thing one expects at FR.

This is DU and I don't think sexual innuendos about ant Democrat are appropriate here.

22. He has. Search this site for the audio from his interview on Marc Germain's show.
Curious that this would become a big deal right before a fundraising deadline.

5. To save this country, support Kucinich, send him some money.

He's the only Dem who will end the war, repeal the PATRIOT Act, get us out of NAFTA, CAFTA, GATT, WTO, re-establish fair trade practices. He also supports same sex marriage (Does any other Dem? I really don't know) and keeping abortion legal.

Dennis needs to have a voice throughout the race and a voice at the convention this time.

If you're happy with the "leadership" the Dems have shown in Congress, never mind. If you think they've done a lot of things wrong, support Dennis with a donation.

14. My butt turned from DK - Paul is too crazy to accept.
Sorry, but my loyalties are to the platform, not the person representing it. By embracing Paul, DK loses me.

17. Ron Paul is not a platform position
so if Ron Paul switched to Dennis Platform you would support him as long as he didn't want himself as a running mate?

FEC to Kucinich: Pay $137,358
Posted by Sabrina Eaton March 08, 2007 11:28AM
Categories: Breaking News

Dennis Kucinich's 2004 presidential campaign will have to repay the federal government $137,358 for using federal matching funds for campaign purposes when he was ineligible to do so, and for failing to adequately document small contributions received at several "pass the hat" type fundraising events, the Federal Elections Commission decided today.

The unanimous FEC decision came after a routine audit of Kucinich's campaign finance reports showed that Kucinich used federal matching funds for campaign purposes after March 4, 2004, when poor showings in several consecutive primaries disqualified him from campaigning with money he'd already received from the federal government.

"Most campaigns end up having to repay some public funds," said FEC spokesman Bob Biersack, adding that Kucinich could have used the federal money for purposes other than campaigning, like shutting down his campaign offices.

Even though he trailed in every 2004 primary, the FEC found that Kucinich continued to use federal money for campaigning until the Democratic party officially made John Kerry its presidential candidate on July 29, 2004. After March 4, the law allowed him to use only privately collected money for campaign purposes.

19. and how much did that cost you as a taxpayer?
-$0.0000029 cents?

"Most campaigns end up having to repay some public funds," said FEC spokesman Bob Biersack, adding that Kucinich could have used the federal money for purposes other than campaigning, like shutting down his campaign offices."

will the FEC give the HillObamWards' campaigns the same advice? and how much will that cost you? hmmm?

20. like others here, I need to hear him say he is NOT "gladly considering" RP
as a running mate.

my wallet was open, but it snapped shut yesterday when I heard about this Ron Paul crap. I will switch to Biden in a heartbeat if he doesn't make a definitive statement about it soon.
