Given that during the 2004 presidential election according to the U.S. Census data approximately 91.3% of voting age persons in the U.S. are citizens, of which 72.1% were actually registered to vote and of those only 63.8% actually voted.

So, regardless of gender, it would seem the democratic party needs to concentrate on registering voters and getting them to the polls to vote.

But, that will only happen if there are active efforts by the democratic party to register more eligible voters and to also get voters to go to their assigned precincts and vote! Neither thoughts or talking will accomplish this, only action and organization by the party will do this. So what is the democratic party doing to organize and take action to get the voter registration up and to motivate voters to go and vote? Reducing the choices and not allowing the state party organizations to speak out is not helping this effort.

...that neither party has any intention of getting greater numbers of voters registered and out to the polls. Each party is conducting "business as usual" and are in fact putting in delberate bocks to assure that all those who can vote will in fact get to vote.

I marched (before I could vote) for the ERA and medical privacy rights. I benefitted from Title IX and rallied with fellow athletes in support of it. I even campaigned WELL before I could vote for the inimitable Shirley Chisholm.

So if you aren't being cute--out with it. Give examples of both.
