Biden on Bush dealing with Musharraf -
“What exactly would it take for the president to conclude Musharraf has crossed the line? Suspend the constitution? Impose emergency law? Beat and jail his political opponents and human rights activists? He’s already done all that. If the president sees Musharraf as a democrat, he must be wearing the same glasses he had on when he looked in Vladimir Putin’s soul.”

:toast:
No one can say it like Biden!

3. Bush and Musharraf see governance in the same way.
The only difference between them is that Musharraf has superior language skills.

6. Bush likely envies Musharraf...
"If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator."

10. Yeah, no doubt...
or how about when Bush said;

Q: Mr. President, following up on Vladimir Putin for a moment. He said recently that next year when he has to step down, according to the constitution, as President, he may become Prime Minister, in effect keeping power and dashing any hopes for a genuine democratic transition there. Senator McCain –

BUSH: I’ve been planning that myself. (Laughter.)

8. He's is the master of hard-hitting zingers
He manages to say what many are thinking.

Bush manages to say what he and Musharraf are thinking: "He's been a loyal ally in fighting terrorists. He's also advanced democracy in Pakistan," Bush said. "He has said he's going to take off his uniform. He's said there will be elections. Today he released prisoners, and so far I've found him to be a man of his word."

13. Bidens' low position in the polls gives light to the general intelligence of the Demoratic voters...

...that single factor, the ignorance of the electorate, is the highest hurdle to clear in order to win the general, next November.

14. Absolutely. The Republicans have the same problem.
That's how Bush got elected. I'm afraid it's an American problem. I'm just hoping and praying that the Democrats prove to be smarter and decide to nominate Sen. Biden. Not only is he the candidate with the best chance of winning, but also the candidate who has the best chance of doing a good job as president, because it sure as hell ain't gonna be easy.

17. LOL...yes, good one, Senator. I've always loved that bit about...
looking into Putin's soul. Just another one of the great Bush moments that makes my dog Ginger look like a genius. Of course, Ginger is a genius, but that neither here nor there.
