New National Zogby/Reuter poll...Obama gains on Hillary...
"This race is just beginning, let alone all over," pollster John Zogby said.

Clinton led Obama 38 percent to 27 percent in the new poll, a 10-point fall from her 46 percent to 25 percent lead last month. The drop followed a month of attacks on the New York senator from her rivals and a heavily criticized performance in a late-October debate.

Former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina remained in third place, climbing four points to 13 percent. All other Democratic contenders scored in low single digits, including New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson at 4 percent.

About 14 percent of Democratic voters nationwide are still uncertain of their choice as the first contest approaches in Iowa, which kicks off the state-by-state battle to pick candidates for the Nov. 4, 2008, presidential election.

1. Zogby is right sometimes and wrong sometimes, though he's useful for trends.
This nomination race is tighter than a tick on a hound dog.

Here's my favorite from Edwards on No Child Left Behind:

15. Yes. That one was a keeper. I loved it that Edwards tried it out in New
Hampshire.

4. Obama went up 2 pts. That's it? Plus, poll was done partially before last debate.
I think polls a week from now will show a resrugent Clinton.

Love that headline tho "Obama gains on Clinton" - its not so much that he gained, 2pts well within moe, but that the attacks and the Russert debate caused a dip for Hillary.

5. Or maybe the voters were turned off by Hillary's CNN debate stunt? nt

13. Most primary polls don't have large sample sizes.
They usually don't exceed 500 people.

That goes for all the primary polls that show your candidate winning, too.

Distrust one, distrust them all.

12. Rasmusssen has 9 pt drop for Obama in 3 days - down to 17 today (41 Hillary)
And I believe all data was collected after the last debate. Obama appears in freefall in this poll.

16. Rasmussen, where Clinton campaign manager Mark Penn's best buddy works?
Of course the poll shows a drop for Obama -- when every other poll shows a drop for Clinton and a gain for Obama.

14. Which ones I like......?
...I like about 5 or 8 polls taken around the same time with the same sampling techniques.

Then I throw out the highest and the lowest for each candidate.

Then I take an average........

You asked........

17. These pollsters ...
... with their OBVIOUS agendas, or SO trying to disenfranchize John Edwards. He's the Howard Dean of 2008 ... the one true populist who has the chance to succeed, and threaten their power base/money train.

Please don't allow this to happen on our watch. Don't let the big Corporate Media make it a contest between the two most UNELECTABLE candidates on our side. Please support the MOST ELECTABLE , most progressive candidate ... John Edwards.

I don't want 2+ decades of 8-1 conservative Supreme Court decisions because we let them put in Hillary as our candidate. The time to fight this is ... NOW !!
