If The President Was Involved In The Plame Cover-Up Could That.....
negate Scooter Libby's pardon?

Could it be argued now that the only reason * pardoned Libby was to save himself and that is illegal?

First, Libby wasn't pardoned, his sentence was commuted.

Second, there are no restrictions on the power of the President to do that.
