ABC, NBC "overinterpret small changes", even lie, about latest ABC/Washington Post poll
I highly recommend this article from Political Wire. The article addresses ABC and NBC's coverage of the much-discussed Washington Post/ABC poll in Iowa, where Barack Obama holds a 4% lead over his nearest rival Hillary Clinton.

In short,

a)David Gregory said that "For the first time, has a lead in the state". This is false since Obama had a lead in a September Newsweek poll and a July ABC/WP poll.

b) Nobody noted that the latest WP/ABC in July was "For the first time, has a lead in the state", therefore we have to be cautious in drawing too many conclusions about yesteday's polls.

1. Clinton still leads in Iowa in the aggregate by a couple of points
As happy as I am for the new Iowa poll, we have to wait and see if it is confirmed in further polling and moves the aggregate in Obama's favor. Being cautious about Iowa polls is common sense.
