Clinton attacks GOP candidates on the economy
November 19, 2007

Democratic presidential front-runner Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) said the Republicans running for the White House plan to continue President Bush’s “failed economic policies.”

“They see $9 trillion in debt — and say, Why not trillions more?” Clinton said in Iowa. “They see tax cuts for wealthy Americans and big corporations — and say, Why not some more? They see one attempt to privatize Social Security — and say, Why not one more? In short, they see eight years of Bush economics — and say, Why not eight more?”

Clinton said she is eager to take on the Republican nominee “as we make the case for change, and they argue for the status quo.”

The Republican National Committee hit back at the New York senator.

“Hillary Clinton should finish the debate with herself on key issues confronting the nation before she tries to take on any of the Republican candidates,” said RNC spokesman Danny Diaz. “We are still waiting to hear how much she is going to raise taxes on hard-working families to subsidize over $770 billion in new government spending.”

The former first lady’s speech was part of her campaign’s focus to convince middle-class America that she would improve their lives.

“The next president will be a steward of our economy at a time when the bills from eight years of neglect and mismanagement will be coming due,” Clinton said, adding, “We need a president who understands the magnitude and complexity of the challenges we face — and has the strength and experience to address them from day one.”

Republicons forever spout the propaganda that they are so-called "conservatives" but they spend spend spend our tax money like the Drunken Draft Dodgers they are.

4. Every Republican Gov is cutting back on their state's workforce
Ours is laying off over a thousand state workers because of Federal funding cuts in other areas. Retired State workers who put in their 20-30 yrs are being threatened with pension cuts and loss of medical insurance. Not a comforting thought after you have sold everything up north moving to Florida and are retired living on a fixed income.

I have no idea how we consistently get stuck with a Republican Governor in a Democratic state.

Have you heard the latest Obama fairy tale? Yesterday, He announced on the Iowa Campaign trail while speaking to a group of seniors (yes, the same group where he failed to answer the feisty lady's 3 questions) a Tax Cut for seniors with incomes under $50,000.

5. The republicons have screwed America's prosperity pooch
They have been so greedy and so short-sighted that they have flushed America's wealth and prosperity down the shit hole. They lie us into a phony oil war, and then squander our hard-earned taxes, without fixing one freaking pot hole.

Republicon homelanders: What a pack of losers.

16. No shit! Whats has she said about impeaching some of them?
I think impeachment is a pretty important issue and I would like to know where all the candidates stand on the issue and on the accusations towards Bush and Cheney. I haven't heard too many people addressing the attack on the constitution by this republican administration either, only a few or how about the crooked ass hunt oil deal that went down in Iraq. I think these are very important issues and I believe that Dennis Kucinich has certainly been on the attack against the republicans on serious direct issues, so there is at least one who knows what its about.

10. That is the winning message.
Up to this point, the Repubican candidates have escaped all ties to George W Bush. If they want to continue the war, let them defned Bush's policy. If they want more taxcuts, let them defend Geroge W Bush. If they want more deficits, if they want more of the same, let them say so. Thank you Hillary for saying this.

12. I saw a preview of her powerful TV ad blistering Republicans
It's an ad that is going to be shown in NH soon, and it was awesome seeing one of our Democratic leaders taking the offense on Republicans for a change, via a TV commercial.

Time to send this one to the GP.
