I doubt she was a Democrat...Don't they screen people at these events... If a candidate comes to my town can I just go to one of their events and heckle him or her?

I would hate to think that tiny meet-and-greet Q&As would be screened. Particularly since you can change your party registration at the caucus... everyone should be welcome.
9. Yes, and Hillary handled it very professionally..
But this wasn't a heckler as Hillary was faced with. This was a Republican Voter giving Obama a chance to persuade her and capture her vote. He blew it.. BIG time!
Yesterday was a case and point of witnessing World Class spin. What was interesting, they posed Obama in front of a microphone and took the answer he responded with to the woman and reframed the question at the Press Conference to fit the answer.
Talk about slight of hand. Rove is the Copperfield of the media.
Are you telling me, they slipped it passed you and you still haven't caught on?
44. It tells me that Obama is being protected by Secret Service because of threats on his life

and part of Secret Service protocol is to screen for weapons.
There is a difference between screening for security purposes and screening for political purposes. The Secret Service does not keep people out because of their political views. They just make sure that no one coming within close proximity to their protectee is carrying a weapon.
It is inappropriate to try to make a political case out of this.
12. Some candidates pre-screen their audience while others have the courage to allow open events
As long as you get through security at Obama events, nobody is going to walk up to you with a clipboard or notebook and try to plant a question. Barack can handle it.
If a Republican wants to make an ass out of herself with a stupid question, he'll answer it. He might not cackle first though.
If anything, the Repug woman with the stupid question revealed that Obama doesn't have plants at his rallies. She would never had been able to ask a question like that at her rallies without being hauled off by security like the "anti-war guy" at a recent Clinton rally.
Still, there's more productive ways to remind Mrs. Clinton that's she flirting too much with the moneyed interests than to show up at her rallies and protest.
and ask him "How will you do a better job than that fascist piece of shit Bush?", and see if he shrugs that one off like he did the "bitch" question. I'll probably get waterboarded, but my doctor says i need to consume more water daily anyway.
