Why don't we just skip the election?
Hillary is inevitable, so why waste time, money, resources? Just skip the election and have the inauguration. She can put both hands on the bible if she can't make a decision.

Your vote does not matter, your voice does not matter.

2000 - 2008 - George W. Bush
2008 - 2016 - Hillary Clinton
2016 - 2024 - Jeb Bush
2024 - 2032 - Chelsea Clinton
2032 - 2040 - George P. Bush

Whoever she is. .Could we learn to talk about her with the same passion?

I'm a Malloy fan too.

Also Stephanie Miller.

If we accept our inevitable presidential fate, a lot of cool people will lose their radio ranting jobs.

For Mike and Stephanie and several others, we'd better keep arguing about the candidates. :)

18. This Hillary detractor
wants to know what are her positions you really like on the issues you care to talk about and defend? Don't just tell me who else likes her.

Stuff like universal health care, medicare, social security, immigration, fences and driving licenses, when to bring home our people in Iraq, what to do in Iran, Pakistan, Nafta, and as I think of more, will get back to you.

Take your time in replying. I can spend more time at my favorite pasttime, whining in my chair, while I wait for you. Pass the Puffs.

Enjoy your turkey.

which I have labeled Goebbels v2.0.

Amazing. And it works for her. It always works, of that I am convinced by my own eyes.

The sciences of advertising, PR, and psychology have given our rulers the ability to forge perpetual chains which are far far mightier than the strongest steel.

I don't know about you, but when Hillary originally said she would be strong in fighting the Bushies, I took heart.

Now I understand that what she meant was she was going to out-Bush the Bushies, at least in confronting her progressive "base" (well, fake base...Hillary's base is the Haves and Have-mores, also), too, and they don't need many warm bodies, only the $$$$$s to buy fake gestalt-realities and bury inconvenient truths on page 27 of the Style Section.

Ironically, why do I suspect that the Clintonistas, when it comes time to point their Puny Wurlitzer at the Bushies, she will demur and revert to the usual tepid gruel we have become accustomed to from our Democratic Leadership?

Always so tough on the weak, so toadying and bootlicking to the strong. It is the way now of the Imperial Amerikan Aristocracy, who have clearly jettisoned the Founding Fathers' principles as naive and archaic.

Sometimes, I still can't believe I am going to vote for Hillary if she is the Dem nominee, but she would be a welcome rest from the ceaseless Bushevik Vampirism for a few years, even though it is almost a certainty she will do nothing to disturb the status quo or the march to tyranny which will resume when the next Bushie takes the Imperial Throne.

But there youy have it: if Hillary is the Democrtaic Nominee in 2008, which she will be, the Corproate Media and the Gestalt-based Propaganda have spoken, I will vote for her.

But I will expect nothing except a brief abatment of the bloodsucking thefts and march to tyranny, not a turnararound, which would endanger the status quo that keeps Hillary's limo well-stocked with caviar, and the Filthy Peasants apathetic, confused, and ignorant.

What is OP.

Used to go to IRC long time ago. I sort of remember an OP was what you had when there wasn't a BOT. Have forgotten.

Look at who's been having fund-raising parties for her, like Rupert Murdoch. I hear she's palsy with the guy from the Wash Post, Moon something or other. She's want troops to remain at our embassy in Iraq for about forever (biggest embassy in the world), is not against bombing Iran, and tons of other stuff. Do your own research.

29. "OP" is original post or opening post
So, let's stay on topic. Here's the reminder from the OP:

Hillary is inevitable, so why waste time, money, resources? Just skip the election and have the inauguration. She can put both hands on the bible if she can't make a decision.

Your vote does not matter, your voice does not matter.

To which I replied:

why don't people quit posting this same thing almost daily? You're not very original. (background: Every time Hillary has a good debate performance or moves up in the polls, someone does this "let's just skip the election" woe-is-me post)

To which YOU replied:

To be original...One has to make up stuff. Otherwise, you're stuck with the truth, as unoriginal as it may be. Sorry.

I interpreted this as you saying the OP was telling the truth, so I replied:

truth requires evidence. Sorry.

To which you replied:

Evidence? Try listening to her for a change and see if you can understand her positions from day to day, week to week, listener to listener. You will find your own evidence because you wouldn't accept mine anyway.

Here is where you went WAY off topic. NOTHING you wrote is evidence of what the OP claimed. But in response to your off topic addition, I understand her positions perfectly.

Look at who's been having fund-raising parties for her, like Rupert Murdoch.

Who? A Democrat who works for Newscorp held a fundraiser for her SENATE campaign and Murdoch was there. Is that any different than the $20,000 Newscorp donated to the presidential campaign of the man in your avatar, Howard Dean?

I hear she's palsy with the guy from the Wash Post, Moon something or other.

You hear that from who? How much more vague can you be?

She's want troops to remain at our embassy in Iraq for about forever (biggest embassy in the world),

So does Obama and Edwards (oops!)

is not against bombing Iran, and tons of other stuff.

She has the same position on Iran that Obama and Edwards has... and "tons of other stuff."

Do your own research.

You do yours and stay off the blogs.

40. This post was hard to find..
You're right. It has little to do with not having an election. I was in a big hurry because my dau wanted the computer.

Anyway, I meant the Washington Times, not the Post, and I apologize. I used to know a lot about Sun Myung Moon but forgot most of it. I did hear somebody, can't remember who, on talk radio - had to be Air America or Air America Phoenix, mention that Hillary was getting close to Moon. If you can't believe left radio, who can you believe? And that Moon is close to Murdoch....

I mostly back Biden and Kucinich. Don't bother picking on Dean because in my mind the man's a saint and you are unworthy to tie his shoes. It's only my opinion, not fact, and nobody in here regardless of the number of insults I get will change my mind.

Now whose blog do you want me to stay off of? Can I listen to progressive radio, pretty please?

71. Yikes. Inform yourself.
Seriously. The Washington Post is run by the Graham familiy. The Washinton Times is the one owned by the Moonies. You're the one in clear need of availing yourself of some research. Clinton has never said that she's for bombing Iran. I disagree wholeheartedly on her vote on the IWR and Kyle/Lieberman. Those votes figure largely into why I won't vote for her in the primary. Any candidate is, sadly, going to keep troops to guard that obscene Embassy- with the exception of Dennis. And yes, Rupert Murdoch gave a fund raising party for her when she was running for Senate. That probably has far more to do with the fact that he has has significant business interests in NY, than any vested interest in seeing her president. No media conglomerate is more anti-Clinton than Newscorp.

Oh, and "other stuff" doesn't cut it as an argument.

Nothing is inevitable, primaries are entertaining and very educational for the candidates, one of our guys will eventually win the nomination and go on to beat the holy shit out of the Republican nominee. If it should turn out to be Hillary Clinton the world will not end. If the country could survive Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford and the George Bushes we can certainly survive a Hillary Clinton administration.

Democracy will be restored regardless.

61. Chelsea doesn't seem much interested in politics, but I
bet she'd be good. The Bushes are history! Who'd want a relative of the worst president in history or maybe the only president to end up in prison. We could post pictures of them going in for a visit. Nah! Not to worry. There's much more important things to worry about. Also, remember we all thought Dean was inevitable. So don't count your ugly ducklings till they grow up.

76. I don't know what's worse.
Your post or the fact that you're not kidding.

Banana Republics and monarchies are not what American democracy is supposed to be about. At least on the surface, anyway.

Once again, go away, Perry Lieberman.

72. The U.S.A. is now just another banana republic with its ruling families that take turns.

73. You're going to a progressive message board and telling people not to vote?
Go fuck yourself.

Crybaby.

First of all, your chart makes no sense. Second, if Hillary is anything like the Republicans, as Malloy insanely asserts, why is she leading in the polls among Democrats?

Where was Malloy when Hillary first stuck up for national health care, and was savaged by the Republicans and the press?

How 'conservative' is national health care? How 'Republican' is sticking up for abortion rights?

...I thought so.

Cranky, contradictory stances like this are why I stopped listening to Malloy. He's bitter and he's on the fringe. He'll never elect a damn thing.

I know you don't like Hillary because she is popular. A lot of people at this site are unrealistic and want a candidate who lives in an ivory tower as much as they do. Sorry, I'd expect babyish people like you to skip the election, but real people probably won't.

You can't handle the idea that not only *does* your vote and your voice matter, but a lot of people have said they want to use their vote and their voice for Hillary's candidacy.

Stop your whining martyrdom fantasies. If you're really fair, why don't you talk about the other candidates? Who *do* you like?

You can't build anyone up, you just tear down. However, Clinton's done what her constituents want in the Senate-- years of hard work that apparently don't appeal to you. People like you expect the war to end tomorrow, with a wave of a magic wand. I'm sorry to let you know that in the real world, things don't work that way.

Your type of candidate probably won't work well across the spectrum. I don't know what you're looking for, a saint, perhaps?

Down here in reality, grown-ups look at people like you and laugh.

77. Uhm
A. Abortion is not the only progressive issue.

B. Any take on 'universal healthcare' that mandates private insurers will prove to be both a massive boondoggle and an even more massive feeding trough for corporate welfare.

Seriously there are numerous progressive issues:
Nafta/Free trade (and the opposition thereof)
Raising the caps on Social security to ensure our elderly are covered
Global Warming
Getting out of Iraq
Lifetime Education
Media diversity
Net Neutrality
Sustainabile ecology and economy.
