4. Is that a statement of discontent or a statement on the veracity of the poll?
:)

Tonight's debate should be good. Iowa, and in turn the nominee, is not inevitable anymore.

9. Most important part of the poll?
these lines:

44% of likely caucus participants are undecided (10%) or say that they could switch candidates between now and January 3 (34%).

92% of those saying they support Clinton say their support is definite.

50% of those saying they support Edwards say their support is definite.

41% of those saying they support Obama say their support is definite.

67% of those saying they support Richardson say their support is definite.

++++++

Nobody is ahead or behind right now.

14. What you cite suggests someone is most definitely ahead
"Ahead" mean ahead... leading... out front

Clinton is leading (in this particular poll) and 92% of those saying they support Clinton say their support is definite.

50% of those saying they support Edwards say their support is definite.

41% of those saying they support Obama say their support is definite.

It's hard to see how those data can add up to anything but the statement that Clinton is ahead.

Perhaps you meant to say the race is not yet decided.

16. Yes, thank you, that is what I meant to say.
However, stranger things have happend then a candidate with a solid lead NOT coming out first in the caucuses. Just b/c the largest amount of people suppport the candidate AND those who support the candidate are stead in their support, unless that support is evenly distributed across Iowa there could be problems for that candidate.

If all of Polk County supports one candidate, but nobody in Linn and Scott County support that candidate the delegates earned in Polk County are a wash (knowing that someone else had Linn and Scott County delegates awareded to them).

19. While I don't trust ARG polls, the numbers are interesting
That means that solid support as a percentage is 24.8 for Clinton, 10 for Edwards, 8.6 for Obama, and 8 for Richardson. If other polls confirm this, my first choice is showing some good movement but Clinton is still well ahead of the pack. She is the only one to poll above the 15% mark in solid support. If one of the others wants to have a shot, they need to finish ahead of her in Iowa. She will have too much momentum to stop if she takes Iowa. These next couple of debates are crucial for those of us supporting another candidate.

And if you note, his surge started about the same time Gingrich announced he wasn't running.

that's what all this is about. It's the Stop-Romney alliance.
