"If you're looking for what's wrong in Washington, why the system is broken . . .
"why the system doesn't work, one perfect example is what's been happening just over the course of the last four days. We've had two good people -- Democratic candidates for president {Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama} -- who spent their time attacking each other instead of attacking the problems that this country is facing."

John Edwards, July 27, 2007

5. I like Edwards but that's pretty hypocritical of him.

I personally don't mind most of the attacks by the candidates during the primary, but don't pretend you're not engaging in it when it's obvious you are.Hillary's campaign said last week they were going to "turn up the heat" on Repubs instead of attacking the other Dems and it lasted about a day. It's a stupid thing for any of them to try to do because they all attack, and even when they're just trying to highlight the differences between them it's usually construed as an attack anyways.

6. I didn't post this to trash him - I like him too
I posted it as a reminder for everyone to focus on the real issues and not attack everyone else in sight.

7. I'm not trying to trash him either, but I can't call others on their hypocrisy and ignore his.
Or I'm no better.

I agree with your message though. But I wouldn't hold your breath. As ugly as it is here now it's still not as bad as I remember '04 being, so batten down the hatches. :)
