35. You need to update your source.
If you weren't able to watch the speech, be sure and look for the post that will be made when it hits YT.

He didn't say a thing ABOUT any other candidate -- he just spoke about things he personally agrees and disagrees with (like the protection of corporations).

The man is committed to Public Campaign Financing. It goes to the core of his message.

39. No I don't. And I DID watch his speech...
he kept talking about taking money from lobbyists and how it's not enough to change parties, about health care in the '90s, etc. The only reason he took matching funds was because he raised less money than he thought he would.

31. I'm from Iowa...
...and it's time that ALL politicians stand up and start calling
out the corporatist, warmongering politicians who don't give a
shit about the American people any more.

In my book, Hillary is one of those politicians.

If John Edwards had the guts to call her out---he's closer to getting
my vote.

I'm undecided as of now, but moving toward Edwards--because he's truly
speaking truth to power. He's talking about our entire system of
government being corrupt and beholden to corporations--who have bribed
the politicians.

He also has the integrity and guts to admit that his Iraq war vote
was a major mistake.

I like what I see, and if he's not afraid to go after Ms. Corporate herself, then more
power (and respect) to him.

Nice to know everyone in Iowa does not listen to only MSM. Take a good look at everyone, and I trust you will do that. IMO any one of the democratic candidates, some to a lesser degree no doubt, would be a far improvement over what we have in the Whitehouse now. Can we all agree on that?

34. I was quite impressed with him on "This Week"
I am still undecided, but the more I hear John Edwards, the more I REALLY
like him.

He is talking like a true progressive...a reasonable, sane voice who is not
afraid to call our system of government corrupt and the Iraq war a lie-based
debacle that should have never happened.

Many of our candidates are speaking like this--but Edwards really has something.

I'm tipping toward him. He did really well on "This Week", and he handled
a very testy Stephanopolis rather well.

I've been bummed lately--realizing that Gore is not running. Edwards
seems like a very stellar alternative, for this Gore supporter anyway.

I think Edwards has been away from politics a bit (similar to Gore)...and he's not
as entangled with the corporate jerks as some of the other candidates. He's
not as beholden to the corporations either.

52. My money is on Edwards being who the GOP
is most worried about.
They have a good chance to get the anti-Hillary people to vote against her and swing to the republicans or even not vote and Obama is so new he still squeaks in washington when he walks so I doubt they are worried about him.
Course they won't admit it and instead they and their cronies at Fox News will appear to turn up the heat on Hillary and Obama in order to distract people before the primaries to try and see to it that either Hillary or Obama win over Edwards.
