My mother (who is way past the baby boomer age) said something to me today that
I thought I would share.

She was at her morning coffee & donut group and they were talking about politics.

The topic was about how since the last debate the candidates seem to be going after Hillary. They all noticed the same thing, they can't beat her with their ideas so they do the next best thing, they go after her. Now being form the era that they grew up in thats not very nice thing to do. Even the one's who really didn't care for hillary to begin with, were defending her.

One thing is for sure, with age comes wisdom. Someday some people will figure that out (that is the one's that are still wet behind the ears).

1. Ad hominum fallacies (attack the person, not the premise) is a favorite
diversion for avoiding the potential lost argument.

14. In courts
it's the strategy of those with weak evidence to convict or defend. It's also the most effective way to sabotage a candidate. It seems to carry more weight for voters than policy and voting record.

Bill, too. If any candidate can cross generational divisions, Hillary can and does.

Her greatest memory was meeting Eleanor Roosevelt as a child.

6. Hello?
Care to answer my question below?

What had them all so upset? What kind of criticisms were they characterizing as "bashing"?

7. My mother is 70.
She said she wouldn't vote for Hillary even if she came to her house and cooked her breakfast, lunch and dinner for one year.

3. Going after Hillary about what?
Is it bad manners to challenge her about her actions / words?

I can dig the pollyanna shite if it's about them going after her clothes or her hair or the fact that she doesn't tip (;)), but if it's about issues, I don't see what the problem si.

17. But the attacks weren't about the issues. They were character attacks
Obama, Dodd, Edwards et al weren't criticizing Hillary's position on immigration. They were using what she said to portray her as dishonest. That's a character attack and not an attack over an issue

8. I wasn't a big fan of Hilliary's
but with all the attacks on her, I defend her. No one can tell me that lots of the attacks are NOT because she is a woman. And if they do say that, I firmly believe they are in denial and/or do little in the way of introspection or questioning of their biases.

If she is the Democratic candidate, I will vote for her. No doubt about that. But I gotta say I love Dennis Kucinich.

If she is the Democratic candidate, it will be a HUGE test of Leftie males! Would they really prefer a Repugnant as Prez????

12. Kick for piling on...
I thought the piling on was mean spirited and shows the desperation of the Obama/Edwards campaign. They have nothing positive to say about themselves, so they go on the attack. Clinton looks better in my eyes now than she did before the debate.

15. The drugging of America.. Isn't it wonderful where we allow for our
water and drugs to be delightfully medicated with flouride. It keeps people so docile and medicated that they repeat what they hear from the news. Oh, those meanies were beating up on Hillary. Well, I suppose her "they beat me up" commercial that has been played all over the place after the debate didn't have anything to do with that line of thinking.

Whatever. The restoration of America is going to start one local race at a time. Old money will not allow a fair election to transpire. We will accept whoever we are fed. Really, Kucinich should be at the top of the pack. How much more can he speak the truth and take the courage to do the right thing before he's the right one for everyone to elect. If everyone on the democratic side worked for him, guess what he wouldn't be laughed off as the little elf who sees UFO's. Who care's... at least he knows what the constitution actually says, and has determined to abide by it.

16. "One thing is for sure, with age comes wisdom" . . .
um, nothing against your mom or anything, but "with age comes wisdom" is not a universal truth . . . age certainly can contribute to wisdom, but I've met an awful lot of older folks (i.e. my generation) who are about as perceptive as a tree stump . . .
