Good night in Virginia!!!!!
Edited on Wed Nov-07-07 10:14 AM by SaveElmer
We have the State Senate back...a big accomplishment given the districts were redrawn by Republicans to favor them...

Gained 4 seats in the House of Delegates....duplicate that feat in 2009 and we will have that back as well...

Fairfax County Board os Supervisors is now 8-2 Democratic (up from 7-3)..

And the best news...Tom Davis' wife Jeannemarie Devolites-Davis got trounced by Chap Peterson...

The only sour note...my rw goosestepping State Senator seems to have hung on by 94 lousy votes...

btw: my precinct all Dem...whoo hoo

1. Who's your Senator, Cuccinelli?
did that whack job manage to win? I was hoping he'd be gone too. It was a very good night, Elmer!...:bounce:

3. Yep...the "Cooch" is my Senator...
Unfortunately as great a Senator Janet Oleszek would have made, she isn't the best campaigner in the world...

This is Cucinelli's last term...he is living on borrowed time

5. I couldn't believe that the WAPO actually endorsed him..
more proof that they are increasingly skewing to the right.

6. Wonderful news for Virginia. Two of the seat gains in the Assembly were in Virginia Beach.
So not bad at all, I must say. Virginia is most definitely a purple state.
