Dick Cheney is irrelevant.

The only issue of relevance is whether we VALIDATE or REPUDIATE the Bush/Cheney "unitary executive" interpretation of unchecked presidential power.

By allowing the precedent to remain unchalleged, silence is as damaging as assent.

Any Democratic leader that opposes impeachment is not only an enabler of Bush & Cheney, but, by their inaction, is supporting the retention of "unitary executive" presidential power for future administrations.

That these leaders feel that such power will be put to good use by future Democratic presidents is a measure both to how much they have lost their moral authority, and to the extent to which they are deluded.

1. Impeachment is definitely about Cheney...and Bush...
one cannot impeach and convict an office but rather the person who abused that office

3. "Enabling" has become the new American way...

It's deeply disturbing that enabling is now such a given that people think it's okay for Dems in Congress to put election strategy over the protection of our Constitution. It sets an unthinkable precedent.
