Uh People: The Congressional Democrats Are Not Cowards
They simply have a different set of values. To them, the most important thing is re-election and cash. Face it: as a priority, "governing the country" is down somewhere between "fixing squeak in car" and "getting more Crest Whitestrips".

They know that we'll vote for them no matter what they do, because our only alternative is the Republicans. So the "Democrats" serve the Predator Class to get cash, and push as far to the right as they can in order to get the votes of the middle and the slightly-right. This is the politics of triangulation - it worked for the Clintons, and now our "Democrats" in Congress hope it will work for them.

So sad. But it'll work, unless we all work to unseat them.

1. They know what needs to be done
and they're too afraid to do it.

That makes them cowards.

2. So we should all work to "unseat" the Democrats?
Who will we replace them with, and how will you ensure they don't quickly become the same thing?

5. If They Know They'll Get Tossed In The Primary For Bad Behavior
Then they'll behave.

But right now, we're rewarding the very worst behavior. How can we expect anything different?

3. I have to disagree, though your premise works. Their idea of
governing the country does cover a lot of issues that need to be addressed, but why their values don't include defending the Constitution is what puzzles me. That includes impeachment and being 100% against torture despite the reality of needing to get a new AG.

Their gold ring is 08, but I wish they'd realize they might lose a lot of support by not acknowledging their base, our values, by doing the right thing. And you're right. Who are we going to vote for?

I think sometimes, it's good to either not vote or write someone in. I'm so angry at Schumer, he should be glad I no longer vote in NY.

4. Except that they are dead wrong.
I will NOT vote for them no matter what they do.

I am not the only one of "us," either.

7. They have enough brains ; torefrain form puting Jeb Bush as VP for a year
Think people, if Pelosi and Reid had impeached Bush the next Presidential Candidate would be in the W.H. now and helping the 2008 congress and Senate Republicans get elected the n ext time.
