Poll question: I'm about to head out to VOTE! Have you voted today?
Polls open up here in about 25 min. so by the time I get out of the shower and get dressed it'll be time to go cast my vote.

There are no Federal elections but our local and state elections are just as important as they affect our lives more directly. And, I'm going to do my part to boot out the CRIMINAL Republican Ernie Fletcher from the Governor's mansion here in Ky.

GET OUT AND VOTE!! :)

1. no, but...
as far as I know, there isn't anything on the ballot here. Got nothing in the mail, nothing on the local county election website. So, I don't think there is a vote.

2. I'll be there around 7 am.
Mongiardo's a home-town boy so there's a lot of excitement about it here. I hope we can replace Mitch next year!

3. We have a wonderful slate of 5 Independent party-the Chatham Party
in our town to vote in for the 7 seat Town Council. Wonderful folks who would have been kept out of serving the town if we hadn't formed the 3rd parth. Dems and Repugs in our town used to have a lock on who got appointed to the land use boards etc. NOT ANY MORE. We had 49% voter turnout 2 years ago and they swept the 5 top votes.
Unfortunately it's pouring rain......I hope people take the time/trouble to get out and reelect them.

Today is voting on the neighborhood schools referendum in our school district in DE. Finally, people are getting fed up enough with bussing kids an hour 1-way over I-95 to maybe fund reopening the city schools they closed and build a new school or two.

I'll be watching the NJ and PA races closely. They said on this mornings news that "The Republicans hope to take over both state houses". I thought that was good terminology. As "Take Over" seems to be the Pubs operative phrase. The reporter was telling everyone not to let the rain keep you from the polls.

6. No school today, we use the gym for voting, so I'm taking the kids with me.
My kids have been to the polls more often than a GOP Voting Machine Repairman.

7. Bright and early when the polls opened
I actually voted for a couple of Republicans. Actually, to be more accurate, I voted against a couple of Democrats--an extremely corrupt district attorney and a township supervisor who's against bringing city water into our rural county.

14. Yes, for local elections.
Voted for Bill Gluba for mayor of Davenport, Iowa. This is the first time I've voted in a strictly local election, and I'm certainly not proud of all the local elections I've ignored since I've been eligible to vote.

Constitutional amendments on the ballot here in Texas. After much soul searching, I voted to do away with all references to the Inspector of Hides and Animals.

I looked forward to it all day. It felt good to cast a ballot, even though it's not a fancy schmacy Presidential race.

And I made sure to visit our Democratic Table set up the required number of feet away. The past four years, I've pulled shifts there but today I had to take my elderly dog to a special clinic an hour north which required a good part of my day.

Someone thoughtfully listed the site were we can check on our (VA) appropriate State Senate races. Thanks! :yourock:

Here's to hoping that Our Guys and Gals (The Democrats) WIN BIG! :toast:

24. Yes and walked a few campaign streets too, but then I am in Kentucky
and looking to get rid of the first Pug guv since Louie Nunn, who was disgusted with the Pug ads paid for by Norquist and Rove for Fletcher in 03 and said so. He was a good guy, even if he was a Pug.

25. I just got back from voting...
This time, it was in the church meeting hall, down at the bottom of my hill....

So I walked!

For the school board...

Very important!

They think there will be about a 10% turnout this time...
