U.S. feminists weigh vote for Clinton
And just because she's a woman, doesn't mean she can count on their votes.

WELLESLEY, Massachusetts - Many American women are excited about Democrat Hillary Clinton's ground-breaking
bid for the White House, but feminists warn she can't count on them just because she's a woman.

They said tens of millions of women are more concerned about selecting a candidate who best addresses their top
issues and are scrutinizing the former first lady in this light.

"Being a woman in and of itself is not sufficient to gain broad-based support," Faye Wattleton, head of the Center
for the Advancement of Women, said. "We're not doing affirmative action in terms of the presidency."

While Hillary's gender is "an added attraction," it is not enough reason alone, added Letty Cottin Pogrebin, a
co-founder of Ms. Magazine.

1. Good.
It always annoys me, and many of you, when people vote for stupid reasons. I would dearly love to see a woman president but not Clinton. Sorry but I will not cast a vote for her.

Thanks for posting this.

3. Maybe and maybe not.
I have no clue but her sex has nothing at all to do with her capabilities and her policies make me sick so perhaps she will win but I don't have to like it or add to it.

4. The same holds true for black voters with Obama.
It's incorrect to assume that voters vote according to gender, race, or regional affiliation. It simply shouldn't be a determining
factor, although for many it will be. For example, in Iowa, 60% of caucus goers are women. If Clinton can get a small majority
of those to caucus for her, then she'll win.

5. My mother always
voted for the best looking man because she would have to see his face all the time and if they were both not so hot she would vote for the one with the best accent and the best pace to their speech. See where I come from? Geeze, even as a kid I could not understand that.

7. Oy. Your mom sounds like a trip.
That's funny. I hope there aren't women doing that now.
