I Commented On This In A Post Earlier Today... But I Just Heard Info
about Ron Paul and the money he's raising. I generally watch Washington Journal every morning and HIS name is the name that comes up the most from callers. There's a HUGE push going on for him, and even in my neighborhood there are two very large signs in the yard!

His platform sounds really great to a lot of people, but I don't think a lot of people really know all that much about him. I don't think they realize how much of a Libertarian he is, they just like what he's saying in the debates. Even though it's not confirmed yet, they said he had just raised over 2 million plus dollars online since last night!!

I haven't visited his web site, but I'm going to. I think people had better wake up and watch what is going on here. As I said, his name comes up more than anyone else's! What may be happening is one person tells this one a thing, and the other tells another thing, and fragments are catching various people. But from what I heard, Ron Paul really is against government running the country. Given what has gone on in about a decade, people are really really fed up... and Ron Paul is tapping into it!

Just sayin!

2. except its not the government thats at fault
its the people in our government, the goverment is good, its the corpratists corrupting our politicians that we have to stop. with no government regulations our government would be corrupted all the more quicker. and personnally i dont think the government regulates industry enough.

4. That Mouthful Was Completely TRUE!!
That's why he needs to be watched, and it appears he's making HEAD-WAY! I'm no supporter of his in any way and I think his election would NOT be the best for this country.

I wasn't pumping him up, I was just kind of worrying!

5. Ron comes from the radical Right
He talks great. But his general ideology seems to be pretty much hidden (just dig a little and you will start to see many unpleasant stances).

If he should ever come to serious contention, he will be virtually destroyed by the mainstream political/media establishment (both from the left and the right).

8. I Do Know This Much... Living Here In Florida, We Have A LOT Of
small cities or towns, and while I don't want to say they're dumb or anything, they just kind of gather together at their little spots every morning, or on the week-ends and the snippets spread!

THESE are the people who grouch and grumble, and vote AGAINST themselves because they don't use PC's or even read all that much... they just chit-chat about how bad things are! Then they hear things and like gossip it grows! THESE people "think" they're gonna show those "big-guys" in D.C. a thing or two, and they GO OUT AND VOTE!! Just like they did for THE IDIOT, DECIDER!!

Just let him perk along and then WATCH OUT! Well, maybe the real crooks at the top of the Repukes will "do their thing" as usual. Boy that'll be a thing to watch! When the shit hits the fan... they voted for Paul BUT the Ghoul won!!

10. I hope not, and I doubt it.
He is more anti-war than our *front-runners*. But, he's sneaky, and I don't think his campaign will work.

7. Yes, he is attracting a lot of attention from the right -- those fed up with crony capitalism
HOWEVER, he is batshit insane. The man wants the government OUT of our lives. No SEC, no FDA, no IRS, no OSHA -- no oversight whatsoever. He wants to set up some inane free market system where the Enrons of the world are set free and not taxed. I shudder to think.

Just because the man is against the war, doesn't make him sane. He has very dangerous ideas and the neo-nazis are all over him like stink on shit.

One can only hope that a Rudy 911eveni gets in and the nuts on the far right start actually LOOKING at the issues and not the soundbytes.

11. A commentator the other day remarked he wants Social Security
abolished. It was a guest on one of the MSNBC shows, and I do not know his name (never heard of him or seen him before). Do you happen to know whether or not this is true?

12. Yes, it is true. As well as Medicare.
You can see all of it on his site, which I don't recall off the top of my head.

9. He's popular, because he's not Bush
and he's about as far away from the war mongers as you can get, but he's a repub, and that's good enough. The other repubs running haven't figured out that the country is tired of war.

13. Yep. Ron Paul signs in my neighborhood.
Ron Paul signs on the way to work. That alone should be a sign there are restless people looking for change. Libertarianism is the wrong direction to take in my estimation but the people are confused, feel something is wrong, and think both parties are too much the same. That's why I kept telling people the current democratic party strategy sucks. If we win it all, it will be in spite of ourselves (republicans are just so bad that the public is voting against them as opposed to for us).
