Draft Al Gore TV Ad Campaign Started Today
Draft Gore Launches TV Ad Campaign
Commercial funded by grassroots supporters nationwide

Nov. 2 – The movement to draft Gore for President continues to gain momentum as Draft Gore launches its first round of television advertising on Friday.

Funded entirely by contributions from grassroots supporters, the 30-second spot features clips from speeches in which Gore takes an early stand against the war in Iraq and exhorts Americans to take back their government and restore Constitutional authority. “I believe our success in defending ourselves depends precisely on not giving up what we stand for,” Gore says in one of the clips.

The ad will run for five days on CNN news shows beginning Nov. 2 and for three days on New Hampshire’s WMUR station.

A warm thank you to the thousands of you who supported us with this project.

5. Seems like a waste of money to be running ads in NH.
Nov 2 was the primary deadline... & Al Gore won't be on the ballot.

7. Why? You've never heard of a write-in campaign?
He doesn't need to be on the ballot - polls show he'd stomp all the other candidates in NH anyway. I suspect he may be comfortable with a write-in campaign there.

This presidential campaign is looking more like 1968 every day.

9. Hey... I wanted Al to run as much as anyone I know...
But the man obviously does not want to do it. Does disrespecting his wishes really say that I support him? Im not convinced.

11. Glad you can read minds.
I myself will wait until I see his appearances this Thursday on 30 Rock and the Tonight Show before I count him out for good.

12. Read minds??
So youre saying he does really want to run... he just repeatedly says that he doesnt... and he missed being on the ballot of the early states just to announce on some tv show? That just sounds bizarre to me.

My mom is a hardcore Gore fan and has pretty much given up.

8. Not too late for a New Hampshire write-in campaign.
I suspect if any candidate could and would do such a thing, it would be Gore.

10. DFA has changed their Pulse Poll lay-out three days before its end!! WTF?
I clicked on the link to see that they no longer have the "click and drag" format, with a visible box for the write-in candidate. Now they have three boxes and you choose from one of the named candidates or "other". They also appear to have removed any way to tell how the "race" is going, unless I missed something.

I am getting madder and madder at DFA for the way they are handling this poll. I hope Al kicks ass and takes names -- and that the DFA is forced to acknowledge that the face of the favorite candidate of progressives everywhere doesn't appear anywhere on their Pulse Poll.

Maybe DFA ought to check its own pulse. It appears to be fading.
